This is pretty much them putting the nail in the coffin on Street Fighter X Tekken, which I think is a shame since it really ended up pretty good after its updates.

Well, the announcer said it's a new character "who has never been in a Street Fighter game before."

Personally I think they should just make a huge version of the game with every existing character not yet added from Alpha and SF3 and call it "SF4 Final Edition." There's not even that many characters left to add at this point.

Then start over completely fresh with SF5 in a few years.

I'm way more hyped for this version of the game than I was for AE. Never cared for Yun/Yang and two more shotos in Evil Ryu and Oni were a waste of character slots. This is definitely gonna get me back on SF4 again big-time and that's gonna be it for SFxTK.

was taking more of looking like an age thing (unless we go with the she's actually XX years than she looks) than the titillation.

like the mvc2 style idea for what they should do but i'm wary about that version of SF 5 (3 was supposed to be that until fans bitched and moaned)

I never picked up Arcade Edition, but getting Rolento, Elena and Poison in a new standalone is fucking great. SF4 is one of my fave fighters of the generation. Hopefully we'll get some new stages too

It does, so that DLC is either going to be late or Capcom is going to somehow drop it and go with Steamworks like they've mentioned before. It's worth noting that Remember Me and Resident Evil Revelation don't use GFWL.

There's no doubt that if you want this content on day one, plan to get it on a console.

I think Haggar is likely. which is a shame, cus I could really do without Haggar. Both Hugo and Gief do that thing better imo. Maybe Morrigan from Darkstalkers (assuming they were working on a new one that got canceled and have the model laying around)? She might be neat, a bit of an aesthetic clash though.

Also, lulz at the udon costumes. Tribal african bikini is so uncreative I would be ashamed having my name to it.

Yup. They're being smart and not leaving anyone out. Any version of SSF4 can be upgraded to Ultra and will get all of the content.

But if you have the Japanese version, I don't think this is coming until August, if at all- they are purposefully holding back the digital upgrade on JPSN/XBL because of the arcade version. $:-\$

Yes, yes we did. It's a game that still gets tons and tons of play time, has a huge community behind it, and this upgrade is only $15. So was Arcade Edition. This is the route that they should be going when it comes to updates like this.

Played for a good six hours online and stuck with new characters 90% of the time. From what I played/saw, it seems like Decapre and Poison are the best of the newcomers, followed by Hugo and Rolento, with Elena stuck dead last. I still had fun using her though. Hard to believe that there are people who still get thrown off by healing, expecting it to be something offensive, lol.

Seeing a lot of complaints about problems online. I played endless lobbies only, in small 2 or 3 man rooms, and didn't have any issues. Seems like the larger ones are where the problems lie. It will be fixed soon enough though. All of this reminds me of when vanilla SF4 and SSF4 came out.

Not sure who I am going to stick with just yet. I want to switch up and main someone new for sure.

I gave Decapre a cursory look in training mode, def gonna need to put more time in to figure here out. She seems like she could be really cool, but so technical.

Poison remains frustrating. I dunno if she has a consistent AA. Most of them seem to trade which is kinda wack. Dem fireballs doe. Her elbow seems good too.

IIRC they said she was actually pretty beginner-friendly. Her moves/abilities are all pretty easy to get down quickly.

Was doing well with her tonight, mainly by playing at medium range, doing some quick pokes/going for rekkas up close, then backing away and zoning. When you're medium range, you've not only got fireballs, but also her flip stomp/grab move, which goes over projectiles. One guy told me after a bunch of battles that he had no idea how to stop that-- definitely throws people off. It's like a longer-range Chun-Li axe kick.

Yeah her zoning is really impressive. Also that flip kick thing breaks armor, I noticed that in some local games today. Really nice way to get in. Her U1 is really easy to get off as well, works off of EX rekka and doesn't take too much of a damage hit from the scaling. Still not sure how best to use U2.

Also maybe it's just me but it seems PSN is especially poor with Ultra, worse than AE was. Sometimes it's basically like playing underwater.

I just messed around with this cuz my friend bought it and

shit's awesome. Decapre is a lot of fun as she's a mix of my two favorite characters: Bison and Cammy. I like her moveset and you can combo into a goddamn air grab shit's SO tight.
