JJ watt continues to impress me. Texans are looking solid aside from their 49ers pre-season loss. Real proud of the team and glad Andre still stuck around. I think we can take the division this year assuming we aren't plagued with injuries. Looking forward to it. Piss off, Titans.

There's going to be a talent drop in the NFL's future as youth move away from wanting to be football players due to health concerns.

I seriously doubt that. The youth participation drops aren't having an effect in the football powerhouses of the country: the south and "heartland."

That and the money. As long as football is a way out of the hood, kids will be playing it. Suburban kids might be steered to soccer but best believe Iowa will continue to produce linemen, the south will continue to produce RBs, etc.

He'd always listen to young kids trying to figure out how to become a man and actually usually had great advice..."always save money kid, always, and go back and get your degree. 1/2? Please...I believe season ticket holders were required to have multiple felonies. I saw more felonies committed during games than I've seen during the entire run of Sons of Anarchy.

Thursday Night Football, yall.

we're reaching a saturation point. There is really no justification for a weekly TNF outside of greed at this point. I'd be fine with 1 or 2 TNF games a month, but 16, most of which aren't even good matches? You can kind of excuse tonight's game because it made sense on paper back when the scheduling game out. Division rivals, Peterson v Rodgers, rookie QB...but literally none of that played out tonight.

The Browns have a nice schedule coming up (Titans, Steelers (@ home), Jags, Raiders and the Bucs.

Which sets it up nicely for them to go 4-1 or 3-2 into a Thursday night game against the Bengals. Everyone will be buzzing about the game (locally) as a pivotal moment  in the season and they will get thoroughly trounced and embarrassed. Meltdowns, injuries and finger pointing. It will all happen and the season will quickly unravel.

It's destiny.

Heh, you can't hate Cleveland fans. You're supposed to take pity on us like an alcoholic uncle.

I'm not really much of a Browns fan.  I DVR the games and if they are close, I will watch them. I'm more of a diehard Indians fan and Cleveland sports fan by proxy in the off-season.

Lebatard made an interesting point the other day on his radio show. If you scrubbed the resumes of Brian Billick and John Gruden of their identifiers and compared they would look remarkably similar. Yet, Gruden has a better announcing gig and is still thought of as a 'savior' type coach. Even though he hasn't had a playoff win in over a decade now.
