Yeah, he'll likely be benched during the season though, but we will see. I'm thinking they liked what they saw during his short stint at the cup.

No matter how talented he is, the team is just too strong for him to see much playing time, he wouldn't be the first young player to waste away on the bench at Bayern. Might get some minutes in the german cup or some garbage time in already decided matches.

I don't get the Chelsea striker situation.  They're a vastly rich, ambitious club.  Last year the hole in their lineup was at striker.  They have Romelu Lukaku, who has scored at the rate of a goal every two games while on loan to other Premiership teams.  Yet it's up in the air whether he'll even be playing for them this year.

What's going on?  Does Mourinho not rate him?  Is there a personal conflict?

Mourinho doesn't rate him and Chelsea are likely to sell him to Everton .... BUT....

Mourinho is petty - the transfer deadline is the 31st August....

Who do Chelsea play away on the 30th August? Oh i see... Everton.

Expect the deal to be announced straight -after- that game so Lukaku cannot play against his loan club, but can sign immediately after the game. lol.

So Arsenal's the only team to lose to an MLS team this preseason :whew :lol

hammers lost to two a-league teams in a row if that counts (no, it's much worse). it's like BFS knows he's on his way out and is trying to produce the most shocking results possible so that we spend whatever pennies we have left for building the squad on terminating his contract.

all that money and Real Madrid lost to Roma? (Image removed from quote.)

Those games are absolutly meaningless, even more so after a World Cup where the core players of the top teams join the season preparation so late.

Yup - Preseasons - it's better to lose and find out where your issues are and test out a few new ideas.

Hell, i've seen Real (Zidane era), Valencia , Man Utd and Celtic come over to Japan and get -battered- by midtable nothing teams.

It's not worth anything.

Average price was fuckin 400$?? And there is this turnout? I mean, Real vs MAnU is probably the perfect pairing for an international viewership, but that's still insane, especially for the US. Bundesliga games start at 20$ for standing placess and 35$ for seats (which is cheaper than the other big leagues, but I can't imagine that those reach the average of this game).

Dynamo tickets start at like 25 dollars and I think the same is for most MLS teams. This just seems like a huge premium based on brand.

I'm still looking around la Liga and bundes picking. Will have to see more, but I lean Atletico for la Liga. I may even be undecided on EPL because I do like Arsenal a lot. And arsene is definitely my favorite EPL manager. :larry And Manchester City has too much money and can just buy championships if they wanted. So I just don't know. This season I'll let it decide between arsenal and Manchester city which club speaks to me more. My deadline is mid season transfer window. I think that should be enough time. I still don't have any EPL memorabilia and IMO, you're officially locked as a fan the second you buy anything with that clubs name or colors on it. I've got a Dynamo scarf and hoodie. So I'm a dynamo fan. Once I buy an EPL clubs shirt or scarf, that will be my club.

I can't fuck with Liverpool due to their history. Tottenham is ok. Chelsea...there's just something about them I don't like. I hate Manchester United.

I'll be honest and say I've never watched a serie A match in my life. Every time i go to a taqueria I watch la Liga if the season is on. Which is often. So I'm used to watching la Liga despite not having Beln sports channel (which is great so I should get on that). Over my way, EPL, La Liga, and Liga MX (Mexico) are the leagues people watch around in this sector of Tejas.
