It's not just guardiola either, but the whole club looked like assholes and unsportsmanlike. I just couldn't respect it, and I've been cheering for Bayern for a while now. May have to root against them now. I don't think it's stanning because I sure as fuck can't watch bundes but I do or did enjoy the club at champions league. I'll be rooting against them full stop now.

Didn't watch the game, but changing allegiance because of some annoyed behaviour at at pre season game??? Bayern are arrogant but not more so than any of the other top teams, probably less than teams like Real or Manchester City. Some of the players landed just hours before the game. Guardiola is as determined as you can get and was probably already annoyed at a trip that is solely done for commercial reasons so he losts he lost his shit after Schweinsteiger (who has glas bones) got fouled and slightly injured.

I wouldn't say I have any allegiance to Bayern. Being a fan of and being a die hard are completely different things. Germany is across the ocean. What allegiance could I possibly have?

Allegiance was the wrong word, but how does that change the general point. Every team/coach/player will have some off days regarding behaviour.

I think it's hard for us to imagine Fifstar because our preferences are baked in since birth/youth.

But I thought about it today and I think it makes sense for people that are not that passionate/involved in a league.

Like if you asked me what my Italian/Spanish/Portuguese/German team is I wouldn't know really. I'd support the team that has character that season or some Dutchie/Polish player.

But if you talk EPL/Eredivisie/Ekstraklasa then I have no choice in choosing. Always gonna be Arsenal/Ajax/Legia.

What do you guys think of Liverpool this season? Seems like they're going to face some struggles without Suarez,  lots of injuries.

they won't be challenging. seen nothing in their pre-season which makes me think they've even got a plan to build around the squad they have. sterling will have a great year, but i'm still not buying that sturridge is anything like world class - as far as i'm concerned those 20 odd goals came from an apprenticeship.

as it stands, they'll be hashing it out for a europa spot.

edit: just read about sturridge's hammy. good thing everton's pre season has been tragic and they plundered southampton.

city looking tepid as fuck in the charity shield. i know it's not their full first team but a squad with their depth has no excuse to look this limp.

Ipswich taking care of biznaz on the first day beating Fulham 2-1 at home - in truth we got quite lucky, Fulham have a wealth of youth talent but it's going to take them a while to click into gear. I expect them to be up there near the end of the season so getting them at home first game of the season is good for us.

The Championship is a crazy old league and i honestly have no idea what is going to happen - it's basically 23 teams could win it, 23 teams could go down. It's going to be a crazy ride.

there are a number of shirts marking the 100th anniversary of the British involvement in World War 1

as a background , a lot of football teams initially did not send their players to the war, but ultimately a number of clubs packed up their entire teams and sent them to war

A few clubs are marking the occassion with events and commerative kids : Scottish club Hearts of Midlothian are one of those clubs - and they have a pretty awesome kit

First team i ever played for played in old Hearts kits - so i may have to fold and get one when they get back in stock. I love kits that have no sponsor as well. Like the good old days.

I just don't feel like I'd be saving that much money by going cheap on the back line, 1 mil difference a player tops between someone that scores and someone that doesn't.

What formation you gonna play?

I got Bojan as well, but still thinking of switching him cause he wasn't so hot at Ajax last year.

carroll? i'm pretty sure we're shopping around glue factories to see what kind of price we get on him. pick up valencia instead for the same price.

the real irons bargain is kouyate. he's looked our best player in our (gash) pre-season and is a flat £5m.

can't believe sanchez is £1.5m more than fabregas. barkley is tempting at £7m if you doing mind going for tabloid picks.

Ill try to play 3-5-2 with a shit bench so nobody better get injured

Sanchez is more then fabregas because -you will see this season- :)

you really think he'll hit the ground running? fabregas is a known quantity and fits like a glove into what chelsea have set up right now. think it'll take sanchez at least a couple of months to acclimatise, then he's only got a couple more months to regain his value before gooners do their traditional winter bed shitting.

i am still tampering with my team but i'm fairly happy with it - i'm sacrificing a squad player or so to increase on-pitch quality (that might bite me in the ar$e)

I have similar concerns about Sanchez as headwalk - i maybe forced into a set of tactical substitutions down the line involving him and a couple of other players.

Can't wait to get it started though. Ipswich's second game tonight - in the League cup - i honestly hope we just set ourselves up to crash out, same for FA Cup. Let's just concentrate on the league and screw any distractions.
