My all time favorite retail story is the assistant manager where I worked at Gamestop who went around the city and won all the in store F-Zero contests at all the Gamestops and took the prizes. They had a big tournament for all the people who got 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at a store's grand opening with a big giftcard prize and some games and shit. He won that as well, but the regional manager recognized him, took his prizes away, and demoted him to supervisor at which point he came in crying for his next shift. He was also trying to become a cop but they kept denying him, probably because he was too fucking stupid.
I feel somewhat bad for him, because yes, he's worked hard, got a degree, and was always hoping to get into the Secret Service or some other federal law enforcement agency. However, my sympathy is lessened at how he thumbed his nose at the idea of applying to any municipal/uniformed policing gig.Beggers can't be choosers.

The best part is he was still supervisor two years later
http://neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=1024186I'm going to go out on a real short limb here and say it's probably a very bad idea to ask that pile of socially inept goofballs how to fix your marriage of 24 years. Your marriage is older than the majority of the members and twice as old as their mental state.

I'd laugh but damn that's just too sad.I feel bad for the guy. He's always had the dream of getting into the FBI or SS (or something like that). He's posted about it multiple times on GAF over the past 7+ years. That should be a lesson: Never share your dreams aloud. The shittiest part about retail is usually your 'big break' is taking over a store that is such a clusterfuck that they will take a chance on a person who has moved up the ladder (instead of sending a seasoned person to die there). So congrats, you now have to turn around a store with chronic theft, poor employee morale in a dying part of town. Good luck! The lesson should be to never have dreams in the first place. Dreams are garb.

I'm taking classes like these because my parents are forcing me to have a Physio major because they want me to go to med school. My other major, ECE, is a lot easier and more enjoyable for me. Of course, listening to my parents guarantees I don't really need to worry about money during college, but so much stress in my life is just trying to appease them...

Also there's something VERY wrong with celebrating other people's failures. That's inhumane on a whole different level.

Force fed? I'm a 1st generation American , when my family and I came here we had literally nothing. My parents worked menial jobs and eventually opened up a business of their own, without government assistance. They provided for myself, and 3 other siblings and we all graduated in the top 10 percent with a full ride to college. I find its laughable that you of all people, given your history (asking Neogaf for money) is giving me a lecture on being "force fed". I can guarantee you that as a Conservative, I've done more for the poor (done charity work in my homeland of Vietnam) than you have in your entire life.

Seems like the proper response is to change the locks and call a lawyer instead.

"6. Why are you okay with Nintendo demanding control of all video, audio, image related content (going through their nintendo creators program only)? If EA, Activation or Ubisoft suddenly announced these practices would you be as fervently behind them as Nintendo?"I wish someone more eloquent would argue Joe's position for him. He's surprisingly bad at getting a point across for someone who (from what I've seen) spends so much time explaining his views on things.
I don't know what he was expecting to happen there.

discussing angry joe, neogaf, and nintendo?
I understand the impulse to defend yourself when you feel as if you're being attacked, but you always have to take a good look at who your "attackers" are. These are some of the same people who would, at one time, argue at length why software locked to the system hardware it was purchased on was a good idea. You know, morons. He should have saved his time.
