Fought an insurance company who had charged me for a year and a half for "balance protection" on my credit card, even though I only reluctantly agreed based on the agent insisting it was completely, 100% free and wouldn't cost me a dime, ever.
Didn't realize every month I was paying for this shit, and the kicker was I couldn't even use it, because I'm self-employed, which made me ineligible to collect.
Called last week, demanded every fucking penny back, first agent said they sent me some welcome package and that I was on the hook for all of it, but they'd refund 2 months. Fuck that, I want every single penny back (a year and a half's worth, approx $220). Escalated it.
Called me back days later, new lady was the biggest bitch I've ever dealt with. I demanded a transcript of my original call, since that was the binding agreement. She fought like hell to talk me out of requesting said transcript. My wife works in a call centre for a major company and knew full well they had to have and provide me with the transcript. I insisted, she said they don't lose these requests 99% of the time. She tried everything to talk me out of sending the transcript.
Called me back again today - different guy. Said he reviewed my complaint, blah blah blah. And then the says "and we've decided to refund you, in full, even though we normally don't refund more than $200.

Fucking rights!
TLDR: I fought the law, and the 'Gun won ($220).
