Dunno how big the game size is and if it will download on the crappy-ish guest wifi connection at work...but I'm probably going to bring my laptop to the office tomorrow and give it a try.  :lol

Someone on ree said their xbox download was 7.7gb, if it helps. I'm also in team sit here and wait for the preload, but isn't the big day 1 patch not coming out on PC for another 13.5 hours anyway?

Patch was supposed to be 'day zero' and be about 4-5gb big.

Hoping PC has the patch already included.  Wouldn't make sense any other way.

My Steam library now has three listings for this game:

Bloodstained:  Ritual of the Night
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - Beta Backer Demo

I like that they used two spaces to differentiate the final release from the first beta.

The PS4 one already downloaded a 1.01 version patch.  Not sure if it was that large one or not.  The info didn't show the patch size, only stated that it fixed a multitude of bugs and performance issues.  Gotta friend already 3 trophies deep, so it must've been the bigger patch I assume.

Just Lords of Shadow 1 which yeah..:

I’m not generally into side scrollers, often in account of being terrible at them. But I’m interested in trying this one. If I like it maybe I’ll dabble with more.

Holding up on the d-pad or left analog stick makes Miriam strike a very sexy pose! :-[

This feels like a mega beefy and incredibly well done SOTN sequel gameplay wise. In the first 20 minutes/4% map completion, I've gotten like six main weapons, ranged weapons with limited ammunition was introduced, spells, different armor/accessories immediately as well. Combat has a good omph to it. Soundtrack is catchy. Not too much time wasted for introducing gameplay mechanics.

Im very picky when it comes to this genre. SOTN being my favorite. I'd highly recommend this for any SOTN/Igavania fan.

Playing with the English dub, voice acting is great as well.

My physical PS4 copy hasn't actually shipped yet according to USPS (4 days ago Fangamer said it had left their warehouse, lol), and I haven't received any download code, either (I backed a higher tier). How difficult could it have been to at least send out those emails on time?
What a shitshow.

Had I known in advance how this would turn out, I wouldn't have backed it at all and just bought a copy at launch. Would have been cheaper and I'd have it by now.

See, this is how it's done.  Hollow Knight, although good in it's own way (?), You can play 5 hours, only to get 4% map completion, have the same 1 weapon and 1 look, and have like 2, maybe 3 abilities unlocked.   :zzz

Not shitting on HK, it's just not an Igavania (and certainly not better)... then again, nothing is.

I think most people trusted BOSS IGA to deliver in the end.  Remains to be seen how this plays on Switch, however.

Have fun, everybody!
My physical copy is still in "pre-shipment" according to USPS, and I also haven't received a download code (not listed on Fangamer's backer management website, either).
Looking at the comments section of the kickstarter, it sounds like tons of backers haven't received anything yet.
Fangamer sucks, there is no excuse for not at least having the codes available on or before launch day.

In general too, there's tons of content. Ended up spending 2 hours playing last night, and got to 11 percent map completion. There's a in game encyclopedia, and Ive barely made a dent with collecting everything.

This is GOTY material for sure.

The messed up thing is that he did double-dip- the KS backer options provided both digital and physical copies depending on the tier.

For that matter why isn't this 2D sprites

Yeah, this really makes me wonder what happened-

This game scales down really well- the Steam page even says it will run on "potato PCs," lol.  Without undervolting, it runs pretty decently on my GPD WIN 2- with a sub-720P resolution it's got to be 40-50 FPS.  Can probably get it go close to 60, so it makes me wonder what's up with the Switch port.  They should have offered a lower res/higher framerate option or something, although if it ends up a solid 30, it probably won't matter too much.  Let's wait and see how it plays when it releases.  That said, am definitely playing this on PC over consoles.

Eh, it's 2019, I think we're well past the acceptance that 3d appeals more than 2d in sales,
also it's been like 20 years of 2.5d and there's been enough examples that 2.5d is a pretty fine replacement for 2d. Just look at Guilty Gear Xrd.

This is true though.

Getting this on PC because of the 30fps.
