Efficiency-Wage Theory 2: This deals with wages and nutrition.  It is believed that workers who have a higher salary can afford to eat more healthily and thus become more productive.

Well being on the other side of earth, setting up a party at a bar for all of us as we're going home from our internship, as you learn your grandma's partner through the last 10 years or so has died wasn't nice. :fbm

Honestly could care less about most of my family, minus her and my parents, so really sucks that I can't be there for the funeral or anything. He was a really nice guy, even if I was never too close with him.

There's always the use your older glasses option.

Procrastinated again this weekend.  I did some work, just not anywhere near what I was planning on doing.  It's so hard for me to give a fuck these days; once the opportunities for advancement washed away where I work, so did my work ethic.  It's been pretty much an eight and skate affair for the past two months.  Not even Mio Energy can save me.

I chatted with her briefly a couple of times and added her as a facebook friend the next day. That's it.

She's waaay to into cosplay and anime/cartoons that I can't stomach it. And if it weren't for that, I feel like my personality and her's are too different. She's much more outgoing and I'm very reserved.

And what this whole thing reminded me of is that I really should be branching out and meeting more people on my own instead of just waiting for a friend to invite me to a party.

Got really light headed walking to my car to head to the gym tonight, then again later when I was playing vidya, was fighting Martyr Logarius in Bloodborne and still beat him. :expert

Felt like I was gonna fall and pass out.

Worried now since I had a small bout of light headedness this past Friday. With maybe a few more in between. sigh

Waiting more than two years for vital ENT appointment to get prescribed steroids for a left nose blockage as specialist and standard GP's can't perscribe them. There's a nasal spray that has some relief but it means I wake up every morning with the taste of blood in my mouth. Humid days make it completely close over and give headaches, my sense of smell is vastly reduced and my left eye now twitches. Can't do anything emergency wise unless it starts severely obstructing my breathing.

Called them again. Still on the waiting list and will be months before I'm seen.

None, really. Can't afford health insurance at the mo' so ended up trying a Polish clinic which were pretty legit and cheap. Couldn't get anything out of em' outside of a cheap scan that showed there was likely no surgery required. They refused to prescribe anything stronger even though they said it was treatable with oral steroids and would only leave that decision up to the hospital. They wrote a recomendation letter I was seen sooner but no go.

Though I got a letter this morning saying I was on the waiting list for so long they are going to place me at another hospital to get seen sooner. So maybe light at the end of the tunnel soon. :yeshrug

I fucked up with my dog today and I feel awful.  They were testing the fire alarm and my land lord said it would be brief, instead they have set it off 10 fucking times.  I should have told them to let me know when they were going to do it so I could have gotten her out.  Now that she is freaked out I can't take her outside.  My dog is seriously breaking my heart.

I've been there.  Two years ago there was some project that was doomed from the start that me and three other managers worked on.  I was told that since I was the low guy on the totem pole that I was going to take the hit.  The VP of the department wound up pinning it on another manager, resulting in his early retirement.  That's why I have a bunch of emergency reserve cash and I save and invest a lot of my money: there may be a time where I have to bounce and I don't want to get stressed out about it.

Struggle/triumph crossover: injured my knee pretty severely due to a mishap, could barely walk a couple days ago and it's still fucked up bad but I'm doing better. I can limp really fast now.  8) But more importantly I scored some pills (not from the doctor, obv) and between that, the weed and the booze I've been feeling amazing. Off work today, might just stay in bed all day in a semi-comatose state. Maybe The Lord is finally ready to take me away. :rejoice

Ya if your function is general but has to be written with a loop, there is usually a fast matlab built in for it.  So many loops were removed when I found 'diff'.
