I remember refreshing the GAFforums on Weekday mornings, getting tons of new infos about upcoming titles, covers of upcoming titles in america and japan, industry insider interviews, tech infos... The forum really felt connected to the industry, it really had that insider edge. The gameplay threads were amazing. I remember MAF's thread about Morrowind; it convinced me to buy a freaking xbox with Halo and that game back in the days.The fact that the last couple of 'insider rumors' threads on the forum turned out to be complete bullshit is certainly not helping the credibility of a so-called nexus of hardcore gamers, enthusiast press, and video game industry developers and publishers. Nowadays There are more breaking news threads about new burgers available at McDonald in the OT section than actual legit industry threads in the gaming section. I certainly feel that I'm up to date to the newest pepsi flavors and KFC specials.it's really lame that it went to shit like that.

Achievements simply made completing a game feel more "official". I only have a handful of platinums but I I'm glad I did them cause I had fun figuring out pretty much everything about those games I platinum'd.
I don't understand the point of GAF review threads. The people in those threads always downplay bad scores if a game gets shit on by most websites. I'm not even sure if any of them actually bother to read the reviews.E- this is in reference to Star Wars Zero.
The game might even be great for all I know. I've enjoyed plenty of games that reviewed badly before. It's just pathetic/hilarious to watch grown men trying to damage control so hard.Imagine the shitstorm if Uncharted 4 got critically panned

The NX is primed to have the best development teams release content within the first year of launch though. Imagine if a EAD Mario Team game, Zelda Game and Retro studios game all came out within 2016-2017. All haven't put out a game in quite some time, so imagine they are already fairly far along.
