Gaffers are turning on Platinum

Besides Devastation, their last big console game that wasn't on a Nintendo console was Metal gear Rising. Seems like two complete duds (Korra and TMNT) and releasing W101/Bayonetta 2 on Wii-U are enough to make Gaffers turn on their chosen one.
It's time to call a spade a spade, they're very hit or miss.
The good games (Bayonetta 1/2, Vanquish, MGR) are fantastic
Everything else is either do not purchase or instant regret after post-hype clarity
So they are hit and miss because their own creative endeavors are great and some of the gun for hire games aren't? That dosen't make any sense.
Bayonetta 1/2, Vanquish, Anarchy Reigns, Wonderful 101, Mad World, and Infinite Space are all very good games. Even the weaker ones here are mechanically strong and full of style and personality that at least keeps them from being generic. You can say what you want about Anarchy Reigns , but at the end of the day it's a good beat-em up. Yes, maybe not the most ambitious genre, but the game is still very fun to play and has a great soundtrack. Thier own ips are nothing to write off as generic crap.
It's only if you look at their work for hire games were it becomes trouble. Even then Metal Gear Rising was a fantastic and unique (if not rushed) action game. Hell, somehow it was able to even achieve its own personality in the shadow of Kojima. Transformer's Devastation itself was solid. So it's really only three games out of 12 that seem bad. Two of them(Korra, TMNT) seem to be mostly because of budget and time. The other(Star Fox) seems to actually be because Nintendo themselves.
It's clear that when they are given actual time and money things come out great. Hell not even time per-say, look at Rising. Look at how promising Nier and Scalebound look.
If anything, these reactions still seem like left over crying from Rising's development and people getting tired of Platinum's fans. Still they are a fantastic studio.
Putting out 13 games in the spawn of 7 years with really only 3 of them arguably bad? That's pretty damn amazing. Espically since 3 of those are also some of the best action games out there.
