I don’t play fighting games on keyboard but I was messing around with my laptop keyboard while on vacation to see if it would help at all. No dice. Better with a stick, but still terrible there.

yeah in my experience you gotta sit down every day and play with a single control setup, whatever it is, for like two weeks before it really starts to feel good and then its just easier from there. i just recommend hitbox for anyone starting out or not able to decide on what to use these days. i prefer stick because i'm stuck in my ways but hitbox is objectively better in every way and much easier for execution.

It's weird how DOA6 is kinda dead despite the claims of like 1 million+ downloads for Core Fighters.

It's more than just that. It's a "media project" with all kinds of stuff like animu and what not. I assume that the regular version is gonna be digital-only.

Also assuming this is probably gonna be dead on arrival in regards to the online population. Sucks because the beta test was pretty good. I like the more grounded, 'simple', feel it had. Like this is their Street Fighter if GG is their Vs. game. Arc hasn't made something like that since Battle Fantasia...? (This game is nothing like that, but that description fits!)

We're never going to know what the hell happened here. His story is initially pretty believable and it is interesting that once he started speaking out, the account accusing him of everything just went silent, but all the shit about him admitting guilt instead of trying to get a lawyer and the recorded phone conversation part of it is sketchy. But then the way it went in court and the medical records showing nothing apart from a bruised wrist happening to his ex-wife makes you wonder, too.

By his own admission, he confronted her and got into a tussle over her phone- dude should have let it be.

Honestly I think all the repeats in DBFZ are due to catering to/knowing the fanbase. Dragon Ball ppl will watch/play same story over and over and over again. I can totally see more people griping and being mad that specific Goku X is still unavailable versus some one-off. What, you wanted Bulma?

Fighting game players are weird. Complaints about too many shoto-clones used to be a thing, but then Capcom announced Street Fighter III, with only one different, more "Dan" like shoto, Sean, and cue BITCHING AND WHINING- Ryu and Ken added to the line-up, with Akuma following in the next update. And then SF4 was like "U WANT EM ALL BACK U GOT EM PLUS EVIL RYU IS BACK AND HERE'S ONI!" and SFV went "KAGE BECAUSE WHY NOT!"

My favorite instance of this is KOF '99- which had KYO-1, KYO-2, and...Kyo.

Looking at the T7 patch notes and it's pretty much all Leroy nerfs. I didn't realize quite how broken Leroy was/is in T7, seems community isn't satisfied it's enough. Apparently Evo Japan finals all had at least one Leroy (3 mirrors!)?
