Looks like a sega saturn pad, as in a pad that would be a 3d asset in VF2.

Okay, that joke was a stretch.

I just use a cheap ass 8bitdo m30 when i don't wanna use my stick. This looks more "premium" then that, but also has a razor badge which makes me think it might be a fragile piece of shit. Those buttons are interesting though. How big is this damn thing?

Interesting, for the face buttons they use Razer Yellow mechanical switches. Said to be closest to Cherry MX Speed Silver switches (which themselves seem to be essentially Cherry Red but with shorter travel).

I don't pay much attention to gamepads but first time seeing mechanical switches used.

4.0 out of 5 stars GO WATCH NIHONGO GAMER’S REVIEW

Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2019
Style: Controller

If you’re considering this controller, please do yourself a favor and watch his review on YouTube. He gives an incredibly in depth review and uncovers what could potentially be a massive issue depending on what game or character you play. The issue involves the controller resetting to neutral and missing down and up inputs when doing specific motions. For example: Half circle is input without “down” actually registering. Some games, like SFV are forgiving and will correctly register a half circle input anyway. Full circle is another story though. For characters like Ryu or games that only have fireball and dragon punch inputs, go wild! It works phenomenally. Please just watch the video. I’m so glad I did.

Get a Hori Fighting Commander.

Hori Fighting Commander doesn't work on PS5. I need something by the time Strive is released. Hopefully Hori has a new fightpad in the works.

Ah, OK.  I'd just wait and see what happens.

Hori has an Xbox Series fightpad coming out.  A PS5 one has to be coming too.

After Terry kills Geese in Fatal Fury whatever he takes Rock as his adoptive son, raising him and teaching him how to fight, because he feels bad leaving him an 8 year old orphan. Rock hated his Dad because well, who wouldn't so he was fine with this. Rock therefore has a combination of terry's stuff (rising tackle, the dunk and burn knuckle like moves) and geese stuff (reppuken, deadly rave, counters, burst super)

IDK how he learned geese's moves when terry adopted him as a child either lolz

Why are you weirdos spoilering this shit?  :P

Correct- although Terry didn't kill Geese- the official storyline ending for this is in the first Real Bout Fatal Fury.  Geese gets knocked off the tower (again) and Terry catches him, but Geese lets go and falls, laughing the whole way down. There's then some scenes of Terry with Rock as a kid.

Kid Rock (lol) would also pop up in some of Terry's win poses in a few of the KOF games.

That's then the end of Geese in any canon story games.  The Geese in Real Bout Special is "Nightmare Geese" (with a halo) and although Geese is a regular character in Real Bout 2, the game has no story like RBS.

What about Geese in KOF?  The King Of Fighters games are their own thing and the stories are different.  The KOF games also change character ages, since Art Of Fighting takes place before Fatal Fury and the AOF characters should all be somewhere between 10-15 years older than the FF characters.

The links between the AOF and FF games are pretty cool- SNK even tied Last Blade to these series as Zantetsu is AOF2 character Eiji Kisaragi's ancestor.  In Art Of Fighting 2, a younger Geese Howard is the hidden boss.  There's a blueprint for the same Geese Tower he'd later get knocked off of shown on his stage.

And then at the end of the Tekken 7 reveal trailer, it shows Geese falling and laughing in black and white.  My take on this is that Geese in TK7 is him dreaming it all while falling.

I was messing around in training mode in Samurai Shodown last night on the Series X and it's easily the best d-pad on any Xbox console imo. It feels better than most of the other console's also. Here's hoping that most fighters this gen don't stay exclusive to PS5 like Strive.

Also, the game is optimized for Series X now, but I can't really tell the difference. It's always looked amazing to me and it still does. The loading feels better though.

I have a series controller and it's definitely an improvement, but still not as good as the Playstation pads and nowhere near as good as a fightpad controller.

Wish I could try Samurai Shodown on my new PC, but the game is still broken and crashes on startup.  Apparently this is due to some problem where the game doesn't like a lot of connected USB peripherals, including powered-USB hubs, and I'm not about to unhook all that shit just to play this game, so oh well- can run it on my laptop and have it on Switch and PS4 anyway.

On a positive note, the game got some nice updates recently and Cham-Cham is pretty cool.  Data miners are pretty sure that the remaining DLC characters are Baiken from Guilty Gear (very obvious) and possibly Amakusa.

Doesn't seem to be and has been done- you have Street Fighter V with cross play on PS4 and Steam, Killer Instinct with cross-play on XBox One and the Windows Store (and then the Steam version has crossplay with those in casual matches IIRC), and Mortal Kombat 11 with PS and XBox crossplay in casuals, but much more impressive is Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid, which has cross-play on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam and even Stadia.

It's kind of a shame that animation in KoF is still pretty crap. They keep improving the models so the characters look good and stages look good, but the animation is so stiff. The animation keeps the visuals looking pretty dated imo.

I'd kill for a KoF that animated more like SFV, aka closer to 3d version of Garou.

Hopefully it's like Samurai Shodown and comes out just about everything.

But also hopefully that means it comes out on Steam for PC and not EGS.  Haven't checked but pretty sure the EGS version of SS is still broken and won't launch on PCs with USB devices connected to them.  :lol :-\  What kills me about it is that one of the dudes at SNK pleaded with the company president to not release the game on Epic and to go for Steam, citing plenty of reasons why, and it didn't matter.
