Omg the Mechwarrior stage is so good.  I'd totally buy a mech only campaign.  Was epic.
On the next stage on the ship now and it's alright.  I'm just way more into the mech stuff than the on-foot stuff.  I want a campaign of nothing but mech battlefields & boss fights :p

Also this game really makes me want to play Mirror's Edge 2.  It's almost time for Black Friday.  Hopefully Origin will put it on sale.

ME2 is garbage.

Just play the original again.
:iface

Bebpo, ignore this one. Go ahead and play ME2.

I'm not even sure if Mirror's Edge Catalyst is the better game.  The controls are more streamlined...but I was absolutely glued to the original from start to finish, whereas I have yet to play through the second game.  It just doesn't have the same appeal.

It did for me. I can't say that I like one better than the other. They're pretty different. They both definitely have an average to bad story though.

This is a faster paced game so that's expected.

Any of you guys playing MP on the PC?  I don't normally play much MP, but I'll be playing a game or two most nights for the next month probably.

I started a 2nd run on the campaign and played past Kane, this time using keyboard+mouse instead of a PS4 controller and holy shit, it was like an entirely different game.  I can actually aim and headshot guys in FPS mode or shoot multiple guys in a row really quick!  Also the first run I used auto-run ON but I noticed with auto-run OFF that it fixed some of the movement issues I had.  When you have auto-run off and you hold run and move left it doesn't slow you down, you keep running just curve left, whereas with auto-run on you move left and it defaults to a walk strafe to the left.  Having a lot more fun with kb+m.  The only annoying thing compared to a controller is in the mech doing the "Q" button special attack while strafing left with "a" is a pain in the butt.

Favorite titans so far? I don't see many people using it, but Northstar is great.

My thoughts from mainly SP and a few MP matches:

-I loooooooove Scorch.  If you corner someone into your flammable gas and fire it just does insane damage.  Plus that double fist slam super.
-Tone has grown on me because of the stationary shield that you can shoot through since the other shields you can't fire while it's up.
-Northstar is a lot of fun as a sniper mech, if you can keep some distance you can take out a ton of guys, the rifle does good damage and the rocket super is always nice
-the chaingun one is pretty good but the reload cooldown is so long you can basically die when you have to reload which sucks
-Katana is pretty sweet if you're close up, but I feel like it needs more armor or almost no cooldown on the teleport.  The problem is that sure you can teleport behind a guy and start slicing him, but after a hit he'll turn to your face and now you can't teleport and he'll shoot you to shit while you are slashing him and probably kill you first if he's got decent armor.  It's good for AI grunts, but I feel it needs some balancing for MP
-Hover is kind of pointless since Northstar is a better hover and the only real gain from hovering is being able to reach sniper spots
-Default loadout is kinda boring and doesn't do much damage

After two runs with the campaign I'm good on SP.  Playing with a kb+m and good controls and knowledge of how all the titan loadouts work, the campaign was a lot of fun.  I still really don't like Stage 4 the house assembly line stage until the test simulation.  From that point to Ash boss fight the level is great, but the assembly line part drags imo and isn't that fun, it's the lowest point of the campaign imo.  That and the first stage are the only boring parts of the campaign (first stage is understandable since it's tutorialish).  The rest of the game is pretty fun to play or replay.

Even though the game is a sales disaster, I hope they make a TF3.  I'd like a longer, more fleshed out campaign (6-8 hours) and a bunch more cool bosses.  I think if they gave the pilot the grappling hook from MP on-foot could be a lot more interesting than it even is in a bionic commando way for the FPS sections.

When you get into "dat zone" in this game, everything feels so right. My only complaint with multiplayer so far is that there are too many average maps that aren't good for wall running, but I know they'll be releasing more and all dlc will be free.

Don't be afraid to take it a little slower too. Instead of trying to keep up, look at lanes ppl are using and try to cut them off/interrupt instead.  Don't stay in one place long as well and take kill report until you know what you're doing.

It would be nice.

I got Dead Rising 3 on sale for like 15 bucks a few weeks ago.

The main reason I buy digitally is because I game share. So essentially I've been able to double my library. Other than that I would probably buy discs just for the resale value.

Starting to get the hang of it a bit more. How to pace myself. And how to use all the abilities you have as a pilot or mech. There is so much presented at first that I would forgot I even had certain things available at certain times.

oh my god at the grappling hook, and the ability to dead stop in the middle of the swing and boost at a completely different angle, yet nobody seems to be using it?

also just using it to traverse across the map in seconds like it was freakin just cause or something

too bad i'm shit with the new titans, at least the default ones

the anti-titan grenade launcher seems more accurate and more powerful in general, i was causing so much havoc by lobbing them over things and making the pilots get out to try and find me then flipping over to a side wall and pelting the things to death because the auto-target has focused on something else like another titan

and when boosted :neogaf

It depends on how much you're swinging on it, but you can use one jump to stop your momentum and then another jump to move in the direction.

I was swinging around some silo saw this dude then stopped and jumped backwards so he was leading me but I was no longer moving except down to the roof where I shot his face. :lawd

I'm level 7 and I've spent most of that time trying to hook on everything and come at even crazier angles than I did in the first game with the wallrun. It's like freakin Spider-Man 2 in my FPS. :lol

My movement improved once I changed my control scheme to bumper jumper (pilot only) which is similar to Mirror's Edge, but I'm still nowhere near his level. Especially not when shooting at people. I can't chain my slides into my movement easily like he does either. My run usually ends after I slide.

only real problem is like the first game i can already see what my loadout is basically going to be forever and it's just a question of unlocking it

i think i might like bounty hunt more than attrition, maybe it's because i grappled this dude into my foot and stole like $300 and we won it
