The idea that with Scorpio MS killed any potential hype / positive consumer outlook on PS pro is hilarious.

It was announced at E3 1.5+ years ahead of time, which is irrelevant to 90% of people who buy consoles, with just a couple of "meaningful" numbers and a 3D render, communicated in typical MS PR fashion. No one gives a fuck.

Similarly, the mass market isn't going to give a flying fuck about PS4 pro. Not until it drops to $249 or less.

The Pro was also intended by Sony to be a measure to stop people on the fence from jumping to PC like they did last gen and attract PC gamers with a stronger version. Which backfired because the spec bump was mediocre for PC gamers who may have made a secondary purchase if Bloodborne got a bump to 60FPS (Its not and the PC Master Race aren't interested) and for people on the fence, the PC is now a better option since you can get an RX 480 if you just want a mid-range 1080P focused build and a 1070 if you want to go further beyond.

The Sony stan bubble is a constant source of amusement. Especially when it turns out this thing is only really going to sell to people already owning a PS4 who have insane brand loyalty and the more informed casuals who want a latest and greatest console instead of a weaker one.

At work today while I was on GAF, the page transformed into one of those screens that say your data has been compromised and gave a phone number to call. I tried to "X" out of the screen but it wouldn't let me so I did a hard shut-down of my computer and when I loaded everything back up it seemed fine. Hopefully I didn't get a virus or anything.

Browsing GAF on your work computer without ad and script blockers is crazy.  Also, it looks like those ads that were totally caused by hackers (heh) are coming back.

Cracked article trying to offer some first hand insight on the rural/urban divide that may be partly fueling Trump supporters, of course some are too busy getting mad to read the whole thing.
It's not an amazing article or anything but the issue it brings forward does have some relevance.

I wish people would stop referencing that Vox article or 538 article about the income of Trump supporters. Those polls were based off of people voting in the primaries. Poor price are less likely to vote, and even less so in the primaries. Primary voters are always going to skew higher income. The fact that so many people lapped up these articles says a lot about the confirmation bias and echo chamber of this board.

Looking at the Reddit thread, the only controversy normal people seem to care about is the lack of a PC port. But GAF also complained when Warhorse made clear Kingdom Come wouldn't have an option to create female or black protagonists. You know, a game that takes place in rural Bohemia in 1403.

I'm all for better representation in games, but that RDR2 thread is a utter clusterfuck. And it happens in nearly every single thread for a big game.

We haven't even see the trailer yet and people were flipping out. I mean who says the guys on the poster are the protags? they could be the guys your character is fighting. They could be your posse in MP.

Looking at the first page of GAF you wouldn't know RDR2 was just announced.

Why not open a new thread?
