I'm halfway through and Plinkett doesn't touch on the SEXISM stuff and just points out how terrible the execution of the movie is and how its the same template as all of Sony's recent comedies. He then goes into how the oiriginal Ghostbusters worked. My fav part is the comparison of the opening scene in both films, which gets into how the original had actual horror vibes in it.

Plus the mods said they'd actually ban shitposters this time and so the shitposters went to the other threads.

I'm glad I enjoyed the 2016 Ghostbusters movie.

I also enjoyed the original.

It's possible to enjoy both.

Remember when Gaf convinced themselves the day Ghostbusters 2016 came out that it was a good movie?  Probably you don't, but it happened.  The thread was filled with praise from people coming back from the theater. 

AVGN was worse than Satan for not wanting to see it.

This was a fantastic review, but nothing controversial unfortunately, so the replies won't be as fun.  Just a great dissection of a bad movie.

I mean the game is by Ninja Theory and is the spiritual successor to Heavenly Sword, so you'd think people would have accepted it would be trash from the get go.

There was a thread about people wanting TB head because he said that the Permadeath element is a bluff. People saying that is also a spoiler and ruins the magic of the game. Last time I checked it seems that it just that the permadeath could be glitched than being a bluff.

Spoiler stuff came after the fact. People were shitting on Totalbiscuit because he threw a tantrum for the game (apparently) having perma-death. He went as far as to call it anti-consumer. I think GAF's hateboner for TB is annoying, but shit was downright embarrassing. You can't be a petty bitch online and use your "pro-consumer" rep to bolster a completely unrelated argument.

I'd say it's his best after the Star Trek, Star Wars prequels, and Titanic reviews. I think I like it more than everything but his prequel reviews since I liked the others I listed to some extent.

Note that I still watched and digested his critiques of the ST movies and Titanic and didn't dismiss them just cause.

I just.. oh God here I go. I remember GAF as a foundry of awesomeness. As a source of information and opinion that I would find constantly relevant, entertainmentimg and refreshing. And *something* HAS changed. I've met Evilore a number of times and he's consistently grateful and gracious. And handsome and typically surrounded by really, really attractive girls. That's probably a product of the environments I meet him in but whatever. This is HIS joint. We're all just pulling up bar stools. But something is rotten in Denmark.
