Yeah, the fact no mods posted in that thread and the weird response from Lore tells me more is going on.  If he's just moving on for better life opportunities, I think the tone would be congratulatory.

I can't see it being about a job. Most devs may hate GAF, sure. But I extremely doubt that'd hinder his hiring. But then again, didn't most of the studios he created/his endevours flop?

As it is, the reason (at least what the BCT thinks) is his "Trump wins and I quit" reasoning. Which seems just as dumb. Maybe he just got tired of having to deal with GAF and told 'Lore this and 'Lore is hoping he'll come back eventually.

I don't think it's all secrecy and conspiracy theories here-- it's just a message board.  There's no reason why Evilore's post couldn't have just said "Bishop decided to step down as an admin" and leave it at that. 

If you check his twitter, he said "16 years is a long time, & 2016 has been a long year" when asked.  Meanwhile, he hasn't posted on NeoGAF at all today and that's about all the effort I'm going to put into this because that's already way too much time being spent on this nonsense.

When you get people worshipping some moderator that bans without solid cause and makes those kind of threatening requests that you have to reply in one hour or get banned, there's a problem. He's also the only moderator that tells he banned you by quoting your post though. At least he has the balls to do that. Obviously he adds a non-polite tibdit like "fuck off".

There was a part of GAF that benefitted from Bish being the iron hammer moderator: BCT, because they were his protegees. No one else saw Bishop as a decent mod, just a kid that got startled and threw temper tantrums mostly. It's like you could see him only posting to piss off.


If Besada got taken out when the PMs got leaked, we'd kinda have a somewhat functional mod team.

Bish was singularly the reason moderation and bannings became a spectator sport.  He was the the only mod that would close a thread and make it publically aware he was going to ban all the bad people and then open it up so he could bask in the applause.

Before his ego malnutrition mods would simply ban people but Bish got off on the idea he was the sheriff.  The more bans he gave the more "likes" he received.  He was an egotistic bully who got off one purging whatever the mob declared was "bad."
