I see Nintendo succeed in disappointing Nintendo fans on the hardware front...again.  :lol

How man times will Nintendo have to disappoint them on the hardware front before they realize spending months (sometimes years) speculating on Nintendo hardware is more of a waste of time than it usually is? Just imagine the kind hardware that's as cheap as possible to produce HD graphics and you're done. No need to waste months speculating on hardware scenarios that will never happen.

i think there's surprising potential here, good wingspan, zoukka just explosive off the floor, questionable motor maybe but this could really be special down the line

Quote from: KarneeKarnay
He would drink two bottles of wine a day. He would do it on the job when no one would see him. His wife tried to get him to stop, my wife tried to get him to stop. He would admit he had a problem and then just carry on. About 4 months before my wedding his stomach started to swell. It got abnormally large by the wedding. He refused to go to a doctor. When he finally did it was already too late. He had leukemia, that in turn had caused liver cancer. I remember seeing a few days afterwards. He swore that this would be it and that he would stop this time. I told him if he didn't I was liable to kill him myself. The one person who meant the world to me was terrified her dad was going to die and I wasn't going to have him continue to be so selfish anymore.

Someone needs to set up one of those twitter bots that just spews one-liners from a person's history for amir0x. Imagine having a series of tweets where he talks about Trump voters in a way a serial killer would, then the next one being some pompous self-aggrandizing, followed by him getting into a fist fight with his mom, and finally ending with a list of all the heroin he's going to do that weekend. Would be a good follow.

The hope becomes that at some point people will actually respond to you with something resembling "Wow, you've certainly posted some incredibly succinct and well-reasoned wisdom that made me look at this in a issue in a new light and I may need to re-examine these things that I have thought to be true for so long" instead of what actually happens, which is either non-sequitor posts to nobody about SJWs and the regressive left or legitimately serious posts arguing all around you without responding to you about inane horseshit, non-existent comparisons and unimportant semantics.

Maddow thread and PoliGAF have been great examples of how much they're just the 2008GOP/Birthers with different partisan alignment now.

I tried talking them down from the bell tower by pointing out that we already know Trump is sensitive about how much money he truly has, 2005 was the year NBC dumped a shit ton of money on him to keep him on the surprise hit The Apprentice and that you don't put your shady illegal dealings in your personal tax returns anyway.

Yet rather than realizing this all goes back to the Sheinhardt Wig Company (who paid Trump for the Apprentice? NBC! who got this "leak"? MSNBC!) they're still convinced that there's a line item somewhere that says "payment from Vladimir Putin to become secret puppet President" that the IRS, CIA, FBI and Obama knew about and covered up.

Trump stopped by some Andrew Jackson memorial and tweeted out a picture and god bless America and he was great President blah blah blah and PoliGAF was throwing a fit. "FUCK THIS GUY!" "NO CLASS!" And then when you had Conway with her feet on the couch. "THAT'S THE PEOPLE'S COUCH!" "NO CLASS!" reminded me of when Obama had his feet. on. the. people's. DESK.

They don't know why they want Trump's tax returns other than they don't have them but they are going to throw a fit until he releases the long firm version and not those fakes he keeps releasing that says he was born in Hawai'i er I mean wait, taxes! Yes, taxes! We don't know what could be on them! Maybe money from the Saudi's! Maybe a sweetheart home loan! er...wait...um...my outrage producer keeps defaulting to Obama Era, sorry about this

Like all the responses to this are so scripted you know it's flailing: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=232158978#post232158978

This guy even gets in list of parade of horribles:
Quote
So when someone who already has a big Russian problem, someone who publicly asked the Russians to hack Hillary's emails, someone who actually benefitted from Russian interference, someone whose campaign workers were in contact with the Russians, someone whose national security advisor had close ties to the Russians...

When someone like that, surrounded by all that smoke, won't release his tax returns and won't give a reason that doesn't insult our intelligence ("I can't because I'm under audit") it's quite reasonable to wonder what he's hiding.

...So no, it's not the same as wondering why Obama won't release his birth certificate -- something no one else had ever done or been asked to do

oh also, we desperately need to fight the 2016 primaries at every opportunity:
Quote
Exactly. Clinton was a crappy candidate in this current climate and deserved to lose to a decent, upright human being contender on the other side, just not a sociopathic, racist, sexist, lying piece of shit. I held my nose and supported her, which is saying a lot considering what the opposition was. We should have had a dynamic, young Obama Redux, but instead had Clinton thrust upon us two years before the campaign even started. Congratulations, DNC, you forced a freaking loser on the general populace, making it impossible for any other viable candidate to dare throw their hat in the ring.
Quote
So fuck the black people, older women and other minorities who were excited about Clinton and voted for her in droves? I guess we don't count. Yeah, the DNC thrust her on us...

Seriously, you don't have to like Clinton, but fuck this thinking. It's so damn offensive to the people who did support Clinton, worked to try and get her elected, and who just as much a part of this party as you and everyone else.

I'm liking how people act brand new when the heat is turned up on their ass about the implications of debasing a candidate over "YASSS Queen!". Yes, it's homophobic. It's not as blatant or obnoxious as the cuckoldry from the alt-right, but you're drawing from the same pool.

Thanks for the personal insult after the plea to stop the shitposting. I really appreciate it.

I have personally interacted with a significant amount of every console game released this gen witb significant narative hype. As far as bests go, the consensus seems to be The Witcher 3, Horizon:Zero Dawn, Until Dawn, The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, Life is Strange and Telltales Walking Dead S1.

I have either personally played or watched others play multiple hours of all of these games and experienced the story of all these games except The Witcher 3 to completion. I have a pretty well informed oppinion of all the narative strengths and weaknesses both in these games but in the industry at large from volume of playtime.

Its with this background that i unequivocally say that As of right now, Xenoblade Chronicles X is the best written game of this generation.

I have Horizon and Witcher 3 as no2 and 3 respectively on my list. For anyone wondering. All three games are very different in their strengths and weaknesses. XCX has the worst main story path and the best sidequests. Horizon has the best main story path and the worst (but still good) sidequests. The Witcher 3 splits the difference while losing points for being beholden to much of last generations Father/Suggorate Daughter narative trend.A less kind person might call its main path Skyward Sword with Realistic Nudity and a somewhat cliche love triangle.

Its with this background that i unequivocally say that As of right now, Xenoblade Chronicles X is the best written game of this generation.

Thread's going big places
I don't think that's a bad sentiment. Most of us will never know true happiness, we work 8 hour a day jobs to support our lives, which inevitably ends up becoming all about that 8 hour thing you do to support that thing you no longer have. It's very rarely you find people who live lives of their own choosing, closest we have are rich people and even they have their own set of pressures. So if a manchild wants to sit in his undies, watch Samurai Jack and eat cereal all day, fuck it, let him be.

Agreed. If I had it my way, I'd have a 3 day work week. The fact that I only get two days off (and one of them I have to do errands on) just means I feel chained to my work 24/7 and completely makes me want to commit suicide every day. It benefits nobody to feel that trapped/chained to work.

I wanted to have a 3 day work week, so I quit my good paying job and started my own business. If I'm my own boss, I thought, I can work as much, or as little as I want.

Now I have a 9 day work week and I'm poor.  :'(

This happened to an electrical engineer friend of mine too, worked for a company, made decent money but wanted to spend more time with his wife and fam. Quit, opened his own practice now works 24/7 and is poor :'(

Exactly.

To the people who think this shit isn't vaguely homophobic, show me evidence that this phrase became far reaching outside of a damn t-shirt the campaign put out in late 2015 (that, funnily enough, I've only ever seen in real life worn by gay people).

"Yaaass Queen!" Is a GENERAL phrase, that existed before Hillary Clinton ran for office, used primarily by gay people in reference to strong females they idolize. You usually see it in reference to popular pop stars and actresses.

GAF has a solid contingent of gay posters.

Popular male politicians get afforded nicknames all the time. There is literally a cult of personality surrounding Bernie Sanders and the Obama Administration that people hardly ever criticize.

But "YAAASSS Queen!" offends to the very core for some people...

EDIT: I mean for fuck's sake...

It's a phrase that was hardly ever acknowledged by Hillary Clinton or the campaign outside of goddamn t-shirt. Get over it.

I mean, you could be right. It IS a dopey catchphrase.

But then people need to ask themselves why they allow themselves to get so butthurt over a catchphrase that existed before 2015 and that only Hillary's gay fans really used.

It funny seeing PoliGAF trying to rewrite history by saying "Yasss Queen!!" wasn't plastered all over the forum for months on end, only to end after Hilary's crashing defeat to Trump.

Now I'm afraid that at some point I've applied Civ concepts to relationships.

"Hmm, if I can just pay her gold to declare war, it'll block [other girl's] troops until the turn counter resets and a peace treaty is an option."

"Look for an opportunity for a open port, even if weak, just so we don't get landlocked in and denied essential late game resources."

I imagine that if the YASS QUEEN shit extended beyond GAF, she would have lost by a much bigger margin, cause that shit is intolerable
