Tucker refusing to apologize for any of those comments is, sadly, the right move in today's environment. Apologizing is never a benefit to someone in these kind of situations. First off, the apology won't be accepted anyway, and secondly it admits guilt and brands you forever. Just say nah and bull through it and you might end up president one day.

I don’t see Tucker’s audience caring about this, in any case.

Care? Most of his audience probably agrees with him.

they're trying to target the advertisers and get him off television.

It just speaks to how the times have changed. Not that I think Carlson has grown from these views, but I doubt he would express them so brazenly in a public setting. This wasn't a couple of buddies shooting the shit, these clips from a live broadcast to thousands of listeners.

Bowtied Tucker Carlson, a man in his 40's, proudly announcing he's a pedophile on the radio in a bid to win validation from someone named Bubba The Love Sponge.

Andrew Yang deradicalizing the alt right by bribing them with free money instead of anti-immigrant racism is the most amazing political development I've seen in a while.

Andrew Yang deradicalizing the alt right by bribing them with free money instead of anti-immigrant racism is the most amazing political development I've seen in a while.
They have weirdly deradicalized themselves and it wasn't the real alt right more like the 'for the lulz' alt right.
The crypto dwellers and libertarians wanted Trump to change things up. But Trump has dropped more and more of his more 'radical' positions and is seemingly doing what Jared Kushner and Ivanka want him to do.
Mind you these are his 'younger' supporters, the boomers, including the Q-followers are still firmly in camp Trump. (which is also why the younger folks have left the fold).
Although Ann Coulter, Lou Dobbs and even Alex Jones are also turning on Trump.

Anyway the Trump people catering to the 'alt right' didn't really understand that it was more like a counter culture thing and they weren't going to show up at the conventions, town halls and book signings. Plus Trump doesn't really have a platform anymore.
The platform seems to be: "This is better than a Democrat in power at least" which is kinda hollow compared to what he used to run on. When the "wins" dry up so does his support as his entire platform is based on 'winning'.

Some say that the sudden love for Yang is simply a way to divide the Democrats and boost a candidate that can't possibly win in the general Election (perhaps even by Russia!).
But others see that $1000 no strings attached is a great policy and Yang doesn't shy away from doing interviews on Fox News and with Joe Rogan. He's now trying to bring some of Bernie's 2016 influencers into the fold.

It is very unfair to reduce Andrew Yang's candidacy to "lol memes."

He has more detailed policy proposals on his website than Hillary Clinton did in 2016.

palast with some good info  8)

Sorry for the late reply. This was excellent, everyone should watch it.
I had no idea wapo and nytimes had become this bad. No real reporting or original research.
There really is no free press in America. America's democracy is a complete sham at this point, where everyone is only (unwittingly or directly) serving the interests of a select few in the background (who thankfully at times have clashing interests). One thing I really don't get is why the Democrats don't talk about Republicans stealing votes. Republicans continue to commit massive election fraud during every single election. It's one thing the news doesn't talk about it because they have ulterior motives, but why don't high profile Democrats?

The information regarding Venezuela was very interesting, as well.

Alternatively, it is just as possible that Facebook simply decided to no longer allow its users to share our content in retaliation for our extensive coverage of what some have dubbed the platform's "many problems", including chronic privacy violations, mass abandonment by younger users, its gross and ongoing misrepresentation of fake users, ironically - in retrospect - its systematic censorship  and back door government cooperation (those are just links from the past few weeks).

Unfortunately, as noted above, we still don't know what event precipitated this censorship, and any attempts to get feedback from the company with the $500 billion market cap, have so far remained unanswered.

https://amgreatness.com/2019/03/11/tucker-carlson-must-not-be-silenced/
Quote
Let’s be completely clear here. Nobody—least of all the leftwing mobs attacking Tucker Carlson right now—cares what he said on the radio a decade ago. Except to the extent that his words can be wrapped around his neck like a noose.

All the feigned outrage is exactly that: feigned. David Brock and his henchmen, along with their instantly mobilized Twitter mob, are not outraged. Not in the least. They’re giddy! And why wouldn’t they be? They’ve been looking for a way to get “Tucker Carlson Tonight” canceled since the show debuted. The search intensified as its popularity rose and its message caught fire.

The imperative to kill the show reached a fever pitch after Carlson’s now-legendary January 2 monologue, which is the most searing indictment against a failed ruling class since Thomas Paine’s Common Sense.

Carlson may not be alone in autopsying, in humiliating detail, the massive failure of our elites. But he is the best at it, with the largest audience, and the biggest following of follow-on pundits, writers, bloggers, memers, and tweeters. Carlson and his show are the tip of the spear in a spiritual war, the most effective voice of the disaffected, despised, left-behind, forgotten America that our elites have manifestly failed.

The ruling class knows this. Its leftist handmaidens know it. They can’t beat Carlson on the field of ideas; not simply because he’s smarter and wittier than they are, but more fundamentally because he’s right and they’re wrong. And they know that, too.
Quote
Are you willing to chase into the outer darkness the one commentator-journalist most attuned to the crisis of our time, and most effective at addressing it, over tawdry comments made between eight and 13 years ago? If your answer is “yes,” you already wanted the show canceled yesterday, and for totally different reasons. The comments influenced you not a bit.

We'll see. I think having a candidate that hyperfocuses on an automation apocalypse, who doesn't drum on and on about minority issues, and who proposes a universal benefit package that helps everyone instead of taking money from the middle class and handing it to the poor, is likely to see some kind of traction in Middle America. And he might make automation into a mainstream issue, like what Trump did to immigration*.

*I know he's wrong when he says "no one was talking about it before I was", but I think he did a lot to make it the front and center issue.
