https://www.cnn.com/2019/12/07/politics/cory-booker-fundraising-surge/
Quote
Since Sen. Cory Booker issued a call this week for maintaining a diverse field of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates, grassroots donors have answered in a big way.

The New Jersey Democrat raised more than $1 million dollars between Tuesday -- when Sen. Kamala Harris of California dropped out of the race -- through Friday, his campaign said. His campaign added that Wednesday was his best online fundraising day of the entire campaign.

That money came not only from Booker loyalists, but from many new supporters. Of 33,000 donors who contributed to the campaign since Tuesday, more than 50%, or roughly 17,000 donors, gave to Booker for the first time. The average contribution was $25, according to the campaign.

The surge of fundraising for Booker suggests an enthusiastic, positive response to his searing criticism of a race to the White House that now has "more billionaires than Black people."
Quote
Booker's campaign announced he reached the donor threshold for the December presidential debate. Despite the new interest in Booker from Democratic donors, it is likely too late for him to qualify for a spot: both Booker and Julián Castro, who has also pressed the need for minority candidates following Harris' departure, have yet to net a single qualifying poll for the December debate.

It would be the first time Booker has not qualified for a debate this cycle.

But he suggested this week that Harris' decision to end her campaign has lit a fire under him to press ahead in his own campaign.

"I'm feeling even more determined," he said in an interview on Wednesday with BuzzFeed News' AM to DM. "Because I know we need to resurrect that Obama coalition."

I know Cory Bookers path to the nomination, here’s how to do whSt Obama did:
1) Hillary Ckinton enters the Race
2) everybody else drops out.
3) Boom. booker has an opponent he can beat

If you have been to a Bernie/AOC rally, I think it’s very obvious seeing them together in person and the crowds reaction that she will step into that role when he retires.

She’s too young to run for President though, and not thick enough.

Trump got elected because he made the case the political class had rigged the game and he would be the outsider to blow up the system.
Now again Pelosi and the Democrats are framing Trump as an outsider fighting the experts.

Jebus, she needs to retire, her brain is starting to malfunction.
So she (understandably) didn't want a system where every single President is impeached for insignificant transgressions, but she didn't think using a lie to go to war and cause the death of hundreds of thousands was crossing the line a little bit?

It’s a dumb thing to say, but the House was controlled by Republicans for all of Bush’s first teem, and didn’t change hands until 2006. So how would she have impeached him anyway until well after the war was well-unpopular?

Former Vice President Joe Biden (D) hit 2020 rival Pete Buttigieg (D) on Sunday over the South Bend, Ind., mayor's struggle to gain ground with black voters.

Buttigieg, who has surged in some recent polling of the Democratic primary, has remained in the single digits in South Carolina, where roughly two-thirds of the state's Democratic electorate is black.

"Mayor Pete obviously has had difficulty garnering black support in his own city," Biden told Axios on Sunday.

When questioned on why he thought that was by Axios's Mike Allen, Biden continued: "Whether it was good, bad, or indifferent, the firing of an African-American police chief, the [police-involved] shooting..."

Those issues, Biden added, were "why he doesn't have significant black support, even in his own city."

you do know that a lot of bernie supporters were registered independents that weren't going to vote for a generic D candidate anyway, much less HRC? He didn't take away her votes, he brought in new voters. Bernie took a page out of Nintendo's Blue Ocean strategy. Play it tactical.  :rollsafe

Speaking of people with no shame.

Quote
Christopher Steele, the former British spy who compiled a controversial dossier on President Donald Trump, has been told information on him that had originally been redacted has now been declassified and will be included in the Justice Department inspector general's report Monday, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Steele was informed before midnight in the UK on Sunday that the additional material would be contained in the report's final draft, according to a source close to his corporate intelligence company Orbis. Steele was not told what the new information would be and was not given an opportunity to respond before the report's publication, the source added and a second source confirmed.
Attorney General William Barr made the unusual decision to declassify additional information on Steele, The New York Times first reported.

Whether one facet hurt someone or not doesn't suddenly get erased because there were other factors.

Maybe Clinton shouldn't say shit;  but she was asked "did this one thing hurt you".. what's the answer?

no, because she never had those votes to begin with

25% of the clinton primary voters later voted mccain over obama, she could obviously never count on more than that.
and then she got significantly more than that, so she should probably be happy that so many bernie bros turned out for her.

This statement premises that not only do people at work watch Congressional committee hearings on CSPAN3 (it's not even on the first one or The Ocho) but also that they trust Congress despite a century of polling indicating that they absolutely hate Congress (but love their Congressperson who is different) even more than they hate any single President.
