As for the electoral college, winning with only 40% of the popular vote in a race with no serious third party challengers would be pretty incredible. I think I'm going to have to try and figure out how you could do it now. Other than simply Amy for America running up the margin massively in her states. That's how it was done during the "Third Party System" the D's ran against nobody in the south so ran up popular vote margins while getting assblasted in the north. (Hence, the nomination of clear liberal New Yorkers like Tilden and Cleveland being key to their only victories.)
