Rubio tweeted out that the dems are trying to steal Florida's election for Gillum because they want to make sure all the votes are being counted.

Also why Trump singled out the Republicans that lost that didn't support him.

fwiw Trump is lying about this.

You can tell that he's lying, because his lips are moving.

What's it with this constant recounting business? Why don't they count the votes correctly the first time? You never hear about recounts in European countries.

We really need ranked choice voting for statewide and federal offices. You hear bullshit about how polarized the country is but it's really a spectrum and the average voter would be far more comfortable with their third or fourth choice winning than their tenth choice.

Scott has gone full Trump. Just throwing raw meat to repugnicans, but not following any legal channel for his accusations.

With that said, i wouldn't be too hopeful about Florida Shosta. Our batting average with recounts isn't good.

There's usually an auto recount if the win is less than an arbitrary percentage. Unlike Europe we actually care.

That's really shitty.

It was always going to be like this though. When you look at all of the senate races you realize Democrat’s only lost like 9-11 races depending on how the recounts go. The map was really bad for the dens this year, but holistically they basically almost ran the board.

You say that now, until the GOP has a super majority in the House and unilaterally repeals all entitlement programs, environmental protections, fills every supreme court position with a hardline conservative, appoints Trump ruler for life and redistributes the wealth again to the 1%. Did I miss anything?

Voters in Pahrump on Tuesday picked Republican Dennis Hof, the legal pimp who died last month, to serve in state Assembly District 36.

Electing the former brothel baron and reality TV star Hof, who died at age 72, now sets off a competitive, and convoluted, tri-county process to appoint a living Republican to the seat.

Nye County Republican Central Committee Chairman Joe Burdzinski and former Assemblyman James Oscarson have been tipped as contenders for the job.

Hof jumped out to an apparently insurmountable 36-percentage point lead against Democratic hopeful Lesia Romanov after the first batches of ballots were counted late Tuesday night.

After the Civil War until FDR, the Democrats similarly ran up huge margins in a select few locked down states (mostly the former Confederacy) that ultimately often did nothing to win them control of the Presidency, House or Senate except for unique or select years. It's also why that era first did the whole popular vote losing President wraps up Electoral College thing.

And before this they supported, funded, and profited off slavery.

Thank God for Richard Nixon (Google it you woke morons) .

Well it all started in the Senate when a good god fearing man suggested freeing the slaves (taking over textile mills) and a redneck hillbilly caned the shit out of him for it :-)

Yeah, you've brought up the caning of Charles Sumner before.

Like, this is obviously not why you're a Republican. You've made a lot of money and want to keep it and that's understandable. But the "look up Richard Nixon!" bit is kind of interesting. Like is it a common meme on the right that he was a key figure in the CRM? Should I be expecting Dinesh D'Souza to make a documentary about this soon?

The justice department started the process of school desegregation in the south in '64 or '65 though?

Nixon's admin didn't completely kneecap the process like a hypothetical president George Wallace would've but I'm struggling to see how he's a hero in this.

Nixon was pretty famously racist, we can all acknowledge that right?

Like there are tapes of him talking about negro bastards that want to live like dogs, and suggesting that black people need to be inbred (or are inbred) to make America stronger in 500 years (or something like that, it’s a weird conversation).

I don’t think people (on hate site the Bire) are saying Trump created racism, he just has no qualms about using racism politically and is obviously also racist.
