Honestly, Hillary Stans are the worst Stans in the Democratic Party.

They were awful in 2008, 2016, and remain awful today.

Proof:
Amy Siskind supporting Sarah Palin in 2012
There are too many white female Hillary Stans over 40 that have turned into Rachel Dolezal:

I can see it now.

The Democrats are again entering a heavily contested primary. Purity tests on all sides. #metoo scandals for primary candidates. Fierce debates, questions about the future of the country.

Meanwhile the Trump dumpster fire blazes through Election Night. With Bolton, Trump, MBS, Putin and Netanyahu pulling Iran-war theatrics that the media can't ignore.
Winning with the narrowest of margins possible with the help of new Saudi King MBS and his endless pockets in exchange for securing the Aramco deal and Iranian oil.

Dems need to start following the money. Kushner and the Saudi prince don't meet for no reason and Kushner didn't help the prince with a palace coup for nothing.
They don't need to worry about the deals Trump could make when he was still a longshot candidate (Russian sanctions, extraditing Gulen).
They need to worry about the deals and bets he can make while he's President.

Anyhow

If the economy tanks (which everyone whose opinion I value on the matter is bracing for) Trump is dead. His base is like "Yeah, the country is divided, we can't get anything done and things are a bit of a mess, but the economy is doing great!" Trump made his whole value prop the economy. If it turns, he's going to have a serious problem.

Trump literally said during a meeting about that prospect:
Quote
During a 2017 briefing with senior officials, Trump responded to a presentation of charts and graphics by saying, “Yeah, but I won’t be here,” according to a source The Daily Beast said witnessed the comment
Unless something accelerates the crash he won't be in office when it goes poof.

It won't crash like 2008. When it does... the world is basically fucked entirely. There's nothing left to 'cut' and economies that were weak in 2008 (Greece, Venezuela, Ukraine, Egypt etc.) are even weaker today.
The market was a bit over valued and seemed to have corrected itself. There doesn't seem to be a system wide failure imminent just yet.

I'd really like to see the actual numbers on whether having Bernie as the VP would have really swayed those assholes to not vote for Trump.

Whether they were assholes or not is irrelevant. By now everyone can and should admit, even Jack, that Hilldawg was a deeply flawed candidate that polarized, if not outright turned off the average voter, and had lukewarm support among her base. Bernie wasn't anywhere near as polarizing, is likeable and had a very enthusiastic base that supported him. He would've rounded out the ticket and brought a different demo along, Tim Kaine added absolutely zilch.

Shut the fuck up, you absolutely worthless piece of shit.

Can you imagine what would happen in France if the government suddenly announced bank bailouts and budget cuts.
They'd bring out the guillotine lol.

I think governments will more actively pursue corruption, tax evasion and money laundering in an effort to protect themselves from angry populations.
There's billions stacked away in tax havens that could easily solve many problems. Otherwise there's always the John McCafee crypto cult.

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/alexislevinson/tulsi-gabbard-2020-president-democrat-primary
Quote
Now, nearly three years later, the Democratic member of Congress from Hawaii is poised to try to convince Democratic primary voters that they should turn the page not just on status quo politics, but on the Vermont senator whom she championed.

Gabbard has acknowledged that she is “seriously considering” a presidential bid. Her team is actively seeking to staff senior roles on a potential presidential campaign, according to a person briefed on the outreach, and has indicated that an announcement could come as soon as this week.

She’s in discussions with the Des Moines–based Asian and Latino Coalition about organizing an event with them sometime in the first two weeks of January. She did several events in New Hampshire earlier this month, on the heels of trips there before the 2018 election. She also made a trip to Nevada the week before the election to connect with “progressive” candidates and causes, and was set to hit early state bingo with a trip to South Carolina, but that trip was scotched due to plane trouble.
Quote
“I call her Bernie 2.0,” said Alan Myron, the administrator for Centrists for Tulsi Gabbard, a candidate who shares his values without some of the baggage and bad feelings that come from having run in a fraught presidential primary.

“He’s an old white dude. Well, Tulsi isn’t. He skipped military service. Well, Tulsi is a veteran,” he said.

Manafort and Cohen aside since one is already going to jail and the other was always going to jail, it'd be funny if the only other person who winds up in jail is Comey.

After a year where he was the GOP hero and Dem demon for going after Hillary, then it flipped and for a while he was Dem hero and GOP villain, and now he's this bipartisan hero above any kind of reproach except for the Lou Dobbs wing.

Something like it turns out that everything both sides said about him manipulating the FBI process and warrants and everything else was absolutely true, as part of some messianic plan to run in 2020 against whichever of Hillary/Trump was elected after he did all kinds of crap and would have started a Russian investigation with either all because he realized he was the only man who could save the country from itself.

Votes have been counted in Arizona finally and Martha McSally wins!

Quote
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey will appoint GOP Rep. Martha McSally to the Senate seat being vacated by GOP Sen. Jon Kyl, Ducey announced Tuesday. Kyl was tapped earlier this year to fill the seat of the late Sen. John McCain.

"With her experience and long record of service, Martha is uniquely qualified to step up and fight for Arizona's interests in the U.S. Senate," Ducey said in a statement.

Guess not.

I like how everyone was shocked at the judge saying 'treason' and that he walked it back.
"What treason? I only midlly interacted with the Russians and Turks as a completely compromised national security advisor, what is this treason?"

Also note how all the Trump cronies have henchmen of their own. First Manafort and now Flynn has a bunch of associates.

It was smart of Flynn to say that he would accept sentencing for his actions though. Certainly helps him more than screaming Fake News and calling it a Witch Hunt.

Basically the judge was trying to give him an out, or the judge was terribly biased against him.

Saw someone explain that Flynn's continued to hint at the various rightwing conspiracy theories because he's taking donations for his (very expensive) legal defense, so he's had to maintain his status as a martyr for that crowd while also trying to cooperate enough to avoid jail time.
