But... Is Wario a libertarian then ?

In Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 our eponymous hero is mad that Mario expropriated his castle in the last game so he decides to get a new one by going to an island (libertarians love using Robinson Crusoe to make economic arguments) that's inhabited by pirates (libertarians love Somalia even though they'll never go there) to take their wealth by force (libertarians don't believe the non-aggression principle applies to people who haven't followed the law) and sell it back to Princess Peach / Mario (libertarians are giant dads) so that he can buy a new castle. Mario expropriates the pirates' wealth after Wario had beat them up for it (see previous aside) so Wario asks a wish granting genie to give him a castle and the genie demands payment in gold / treasure before doing so which Wario gladly complies with and he is rewarded with a castle commensurate with prices you were ignorant of until that point.
nintendo please make another wario game but based on under the volcano, many thanks in advance

Others have also suggested consumers’ credit scores could potentially go down if this additional data is added in earnest to the calculations. For instance, utility companies can already report late payments to credit bureaus, but typically only do so after several months have passed. If utility companies were obliged to report all consumer payment information to the credit reporting agencies, consumers could be dinged for a single late payment, even if they quickly resolved the situation.

She’s an authoritarian. Nothing will show her except a raw rejection of her power. She cannot - should not - win the democratic nomination. That would really turn it into The Simpsons: a wannabe dictator reined in by the nations checks and balances vs an authoritarian.

Incredibly untrue fact that you can disprove for yourself with a calculator and 5 minutes on Wikipedia. But you don’t have to because I just did for you.

1990-1998: 59 school shootings, 64 deaths, 121 injuries for 185 people shot total
2010-2018: 169 school shootings, 83 deaths, 270 injuries, for 353 people shot total

If there’s a silver lining it’s that modern kids appear to be shitty shots.

No, many that are counted as school shootings really aren't. You are taking an issue and using false information and proclaiming them as fact. People like you, people with your agenda, consider a robbery on school campus, while school is out, to be counted as a school shooting.

Highlighted here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/no-there-havent-been-18-school-shooting-in-2018-that-number-is-flat-wrong/2018/02/15/65b6cf72-1264-11e8-8ea1-c1d91fcec3fe_story.html?utm_term=.f2e704894ed3

And then you trust the media, which represents this false news to present a fake narrative to flex their own agenda.

A cursory google search reveals how wrong you are.

https://www.npr.org/2018/03/15/593831564/the-disconnect-between-perceived-danger-in-u-s-schools-and-reality

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/20/us/columbine-anniversary-school-violence-statistics.html

https://news.northeastern.edu/2018/02/26/schools-are-still-one-of-the-safest-places-for-children-researcher-says/

https://theintercept.com/2018/03/01/school-shooting-statistics-parkland-florida/

School shootings are considerably down since the 90's.

School shootings are down. Crime is down. Gun crime is down. This isn't about safety. This is about selling fear and how much you don't like guns because you consider them declasse and the fact you have - pathetically I might add - bought into media fear like a complete and utter plebe. Because if it were about safety you would  actually look at the facts and stop running around like a headless chicken while pumping out your "alternate facts".

All the corporate speak in that Buttigieg white paper seems to be covering up a certain amount of "our plan is to develop a plan" vagueness.

However, a mainstream Dem presidential candidate making it a goal to reduce the incarcerated population by half would have been a pipe dream ten years ago, maybe five.

don't listen to him Cyndi, libertarianism is a joke:
Quote from: Ayn Rand
I don’t think plagiarists are effective. I’ve read nothing by Libertarians (when I read them, in the early years) that wasn’t my ideas badly mishandled—that is, the teeth pulled out of them—with no credit given. I didn’t know whether to be glad that no credit was given, or disgusted. I felt both. They are perhaps the worst political group today, because they can do the most harm to capitalism, by making it disreputable. I’ll take Jane Fonda over them.

Because libertarians are a monstrous, disgusting bunch of people: they plagiarize my ideas when that fits their purpose, and denounce me in a more vicious manner than any communist publication when that fits their purpose. They’re lower than any pragmatists, and what they hold against Objectivism is morality. They want an amoral political program.

Please don’t tell me they’re pursuing my goals. I have not asked for, nor do I accept, the help of intellectual cranks. I want philosophically educated people: those who understand ideas, care about ideas, and spread the right ideas. That’s how my philosophy will spread, just as philosophy has throughout history: by means of people who understand ideas and teach them to others. Further, it should be clear that I reject the filthy slogan “The end justifies the means.” That was originated by the Jesuits, and accepted enthusiastically by the Communists and the Nazis. The end does not justify the means; you cannot achieve anything good by evil means. Finally, libertarians aren’t worthy of being the means to any end, let alone the end of spreading Objectivism.

All kinds of people today call themselves “libertarians,” especially something calling itself the New Right, which consists of hippies who are anarchists instead of leftist collectivists; but anarchists are collectivists. Capitalism is the one system that requires absolute objective law, yet libertarians combine capitalism and anarchism. That’s worse than anything the New Left has proposed. It’s a mockery of philosophy and ideology. They sling slogans and try to ride on two bandwagons. They want to be hippies, but don’t want to preach collectivism because those jobs are already taken. But anarchism is a logical outgrowth of the anti-intellectual side of collectivism. I could deal with a Marxist with a greater chance of reaching some kind of understanding, and with much greater respect. Anarchists are the scum of the intellectual world of the Left, which has given them up. So the Right picks up another leftist discard. That’s the libertarian movement.

From one of the links Cindi posted:

"Active shooter incidents" at elementary/secondary schools, 2000-2009: 16, resulting in 24 deaths.

"Active shooter incidents" at elementary/secondary schools, 2010-2017: 21, resulting in 43 deaths. (nb this over a shorter period and does not include Parkland)

This is less a point about gun control as a point about posting links and bullshitting about what's in them, thus making me feel obligated to find the relevant charts in a 268 page pdf.

Why is it that every generation of democrats since the 80's has some sort of fear story to sell for votes?

In the 80's it was music. Cindi Lauper and heavy metal are corrupting our children.

In the 90's it was violent video games like Mortal Kombat. Fighting games and Doom are turning your child into a psychopathic mass murderer.

In the 00's they kind of stopped it because of 9/11.

Now they're using fake news to tell about how living in America is a literal warzone and everyone should fear leaving their houses to prevent themselves from being shot despite current America being the safest its been at an all recorded time low.
