Not all libertarians are pedophiles, but all pedophiles are libertarians.

Wait.

All libertarians are pedophiles, and all pedophiles are libertarians.

Okay first of all being a voluntaryist isn't the same as being a libertarian and second of all hebephilia and ephebophilia are biologically natural and have long historical roots and are not the same as pedolphilia, furthermore...  *sound of getting stomped out by neighbor over poor lawn-care habits*

If there's one thing the Democratic Party has as a distinct difference it's selling irrational fears to the participating electorate.

Cyndi why not libertarianism? You sound like you're basically there :thinking

I don't really care about labels anymore. Labels are precisely why we are in this political predicament where people are contrarians just because "the other side" said it/did it. This is why Democrats suddenly stopped giving a shit about the Iraq war and drones when Obama was president and made excuses, because he was on their "team". My first lesson in partisanship - that people are fake mother fuckers and prop issues only because the "other side" opposes it, not actually giving a fuck about the actual issue, in this case the loss of innocent lives abroad. That is also why Republicans are sucking Trump's dick despite him setting a far worse example for gun rights than Obama ever did. Psst, racism combined with partisanship. Censorship, authoritarianism, fascism are the real enemy. If you care about the common people in a legitimate way, I'll vote for you.

Also, American libertarians run around half naked at their conventions.

Now, if you mean left libertarian, mmm. Maybe. But unfortunately conservatives have hijacked the term and have decided liberty actually means liberty for businesses and money to do whatever they want > liberty for the common people. So that's a non-starter and not me at all. But hey, maybe the libertarian party unfucks itself and shifts towards european libertarian-ism in my life time.

But until then, no sides.

Not sure if this is sarcasm and way to express that Republicans also sell fear.

I guess selling fear and wanting a scared populace is the cornerstone of American politics. Since I'm American I have no idea if that's different outside of it.

What's the origin of this incredible fecklessness of the Democrats? It's like they are completely incapable of understanding their opponents. None of this makes any sense.

It's like all of this is a farce. The people who really decide what happens are the American oligarchs in the background while all we get to see is a stupid show written by hacks to distract us.

If you listen to the 538 podcasts, all he does now is try to trash all the leftists podcasts (AKA, any podcast that isn't 538 or Pod Save America) and try to explain why all the polls pushing Warren and Bernie are bad polling. Its kind of amazing at the unskewing he's doing this election cycle. Maybe I didn't attention to it before. ezra klein: seems to getting more and more scared with every passing day. perpetually devastated. 50/50 chance of some sort of nervous breakdown in the next 5 years when trump gets reelected

matty yglesias: so tired of being called a neoliberal shill he's adopted it in his twitter bio. bitter, sarcastic, and sad. knows facts don't matter, but keeps posting graphs in solidarity. listens to blink-182 as a fully grown man.

tom nichols: never trumper, lowkey misses the iran contra days, sees bernie sanders as a potentially worse outcome, tells you why Everyone Needs to Watch Chernobyl Now

nate silver: former darling, everyone found out he was a libertarian. now seemingly only pops up to post about sports, statistical coverage of dem field candidates and telling people to die in a fire

maddow: russiagate has done unspeakable things to this woman. hope she gets well soon.

chris hayes: slowly started disintegrating when parents and children got separated, and his mask is peeling off. has to stop himself from quoting althusser in public.

Kinda forgot to mention how Tom Nichols wrongs his hands about how democrats are not republicans, and likes fallout. Also complains about feet. A lot.

He already shifted the Overton window to the point that almost every Dem candidate sans complete shitheels like Biden, Hickenlooper, Delaney, etc. is coopting his pet issues which were called radical in 2016. I can't pretend Twitter Dems are that much saner than Dean Chambers. We've already had posters in this thread unskewing polls.

You know what, I was going to silently disagree with you but I have to say you are right. Sanders fans are fucking unbearable in their eternal quest for mild socdem grandpa. They are as rigid and uncompromising as any politruk or red guard battling countterrevolution, with none of the (situational) authority. they take any preference or acknowledgment of a candidate that isn't daddy harder, more personally than any single american political bloc i remember seeing in my lifetime since the Paulites. I have to say, they (almost) make me hate him.

Are you tankie? :lupe
