The way I see it is that as long as the economy is doing great by the way that we conventionally talk about these things, the Democrats are probably fucked. If Dems can't attack the Trump economy Biden would probably go after Trump's indecency which would probably be less effective than it was last time since people are now used to Trump. Bernie has a chance to get around this by talking about the ways that the economy sucks. You have people who are working themselves to death but can barely afford rent, people who are stuck in debt peonage due to student loans and general anger; Bernie can harness that stuff. It might not work but a conventional campaign is doomed against an incumbent with an economy that's perceived as strong. Bloomberg could go after Trump as being a shitty administrator, but I don't think voters give enough of a shit about that. That's how I see the electability issue at least but I'm probably way wrong and people actually hate Trump enough to vote him out as long as the Dem isn't scary. Mostly I just want Bernie to prevail and to fight back the new ruling aristocracy.
