On YouTube it's pretty obvious since there's like and dislike votes.

On Twitter it means the reply to like ratio. Generally higher is bad. On YouTube I've seen it used to mean the upvote to downvote ratio. Every single Biden video I could find on the site had a negative ratio, and the comments were packed with Sanders stans talking shit.

Makes it kind of tough to root for your guy tbh.

When the DNC shows clear favouritism for a candidate:

When there's some dislikes on a youtube vid:

Now that Bernie Bros have run it into the ground, I don't think poor people deserve health care anymore.

Biden this past month:

https://m.

He's fine. He'll be fine.

Side note: it's funny how every Biden video on YouTube has been ratioed and brigaded by the Bernie Brothers. Stay classy y'all.

I already brought up that he's done well in fox Sunday show last week as well as his SC win speech.

He does much better one on one. But that's also not the same as a debate.

It's fifty fifty. He might do well given there's a smaller field. Or he might do awful and be exposed with his multiple gaffes, slower cognitive abilities.

None of us know what will happen. It's partially why we are so anxious. Like Mandark said, Sanders' performance at the polls depends on what it moments: what if Biden does poorly at the debate? What if he wins Michigan? What if his Fox town hall convinces many rust belt open primary voters to vote Sanders? Etc, etc. Since it's so close and anyone's game there's an overall anxiety.

But saying Biden will do well in the next debate, by himself, because he's nailed a couple of interviews doesn't stand to scrutiny.

So you're saying it'll drop more?

:notlikethis

Pelosi and Schumer, in a joint statement, laid out a list of demands that should be included in any economic package, including paid sick leave, bolstering unemployment insurance and "widespread and free" testing for the coronavirus.

Sounds familiar

Imagine losing a primary and election during a health crisis when the countries healthcare is garbage.

Quote
Among the ideas outlined, two Democratic leaders want paid sick leave for workers impacted by a quarantine or who are caring for children impacted by school closures. They also want patients to be reimbursed for coronavirus-associated costs that are not otherwise covered and to enact anti-price gouging protections.

That's .....an interesting way to put things.

It happened twice under W Bush. If I remember right, it costs the treasury like $50 million in paper and postage to send everyone a $250 check.  :lol
And you had to claim it as income so you got taxed on the th government giving you back some of your money.  :lol

What on Earth is this based on?

At an absolute minimum, Biden would let actual experts run the CDC, EPA, FDA, and other major agencies that have a direct impact on our public health.

It's based on your use of the word existential. I don't want Trump to be reelected.

There's an intentional broken healthcare paradigm put in place that is preventing a proper response.

What are they gonna say? It's like the dumbasses that are crafting short term economic relief that doesn't even look at preventing another identical scenario.

I am a bit surprised by Trump's reaction to COVID.

The obvious self-interested, cynical thing would be to make a big show of fighting the virus (while also tying in a bunch of nativist bullshit about protecting America from foreign diseases) even if he was actually just golfing and didn't know what was going on. Telling everyone a virus is fake news seems like it only has PR downside.

For someone who claims they voted for Sanders, Glenda seems far too happy of a Biden candidacy.

Also, between the coronavirus reaction and the Biden surge my confidence in America just keeps lowering. What a bunch of morons. Yes, let's nominate the man that has been central to corruption speculation just like Clinton. Expect months of LOCK HIM UP. 2020 will be a repeat of 2016 and Democrats will never learn. Hopefully the party collapses after this year. They deserve it.

I think he really believed the whole thing was going to blow over in a couple of weeks and be forgotten by May. With that clearly not being the case, he feels pressured to do something [but isn't competent enough to know just what to do] so he's just falling back on his "FAKE NEWS!!!" rhetoric, since that's served him well in the past.

It's a political gamble but it's also on the nose for Trump.

If the virus doesn't hit America big then he claim the virus as fake news and Democrat sensationalism. His ratings may improve. If the virus does hit America, he can just acquiesce and say,"we tried - there's nothing we could have done. blame china." His base won't care because they're a cult and Democrats will be mad no matter what he does.

Same thing with impeachment. Sure, he's being impeached but he can just call it Democrat FUD and news media meddling, how it's "biased" against his favor and an unfair process. Republicans (the people who really matter according to Trump) fall in line. That's the point.

Right?

Like, even if the virus were not a threat at all, it's better PR to make a big show of fighting it, so when it fizzles out you can claim credit for defeating the germ that was fucking up other countries. It's weird because he's clearly prioritizing PR over the underlying issue, but in a way that still fucks up the PR.

I've been pretty clear for years that all I really want is the complete destruction of the Republican Party.

Everything beyond that is just a "nice to have".

Whoever can drag Trump kicking and screaming out of the White House next January gets my full support.

Why do you have confidence in Biden defeating Trump in this manner?

This is why I say Democrats are about as cultish as Republicans.
