Anecdote time, my buddy was in his mid-20s when his doctor told him to cut back. He was drinking around 16-18 beers a week, usually just post-work socializing with his work friends, and he started to have blood in his stool.

He had been drinking that way for several years before it caught up to him but it did eventually accumulate. Like you said it only takes a few beers a night plus a few extra on the weekend to hit that level, it can sneak up on you.

The designer who put me in her fashion show held a thank-you party. The beer was unimpressive, but the wine was good. Food was great: shishikebab with an assortment of all the farmyard animals, and this insane carrot/raisin salad with cumin. The afterparty was lit, too, with a wild assortment of local characters.

I didn't think I'd had too much to drink, but waking up at 3, 4, and 5:30, as well as the motherfucker of a headache I'm sporting say otherwise. :'(

Got pretty wasted Saturday with my roommate watching the first two Harry Potter movies since he's never seen them.

Spent all of Sunday recovering. Waste of a weekend day.

But worth it lol.

Watched Azkaban last night. Seeing him try to connect the dots in real-time was amazing (same for the Tom Riddle stuff in Chamber of Secrets.) Highly recommend.

3rd one's still good, if that's the Cuarón one. I didn't like the first two at all, because Chris Columbus is a hack. Cuarón made it all better.
