Why is the outside opinion of gaf seemingly so bad?
In wake of the recent events, I've seen a lot of people on twitter celebrating the "death" of this site and talking about how the community is getting worse and general slanderous things. Some of these comments come from people who I know and respect through which is what confuses me. It just seems like the majority of people outside of gaf simply don't like gaf and don't believe it's a particularly good place.

Personally, I don't think we're all that bad so is there any reasonable explanation for why good people think that way about us?

I must admit, of the many issues of Neogaf, the most overlooked one to me was how people seemed to enjoy complaining about games more than playing them. There were so many who I wanted to advise to play a different game or to find another hobby, because they were just boring AF.
