The ease in which these people excise others from their lives over some of the most petty, pedantic shit always amaze me. I can't count the number of times I read some post on ResetERA (and previously on GAF) where some poster boasted how they ended friendships that were years old over petty shit.

I only hope for their sake they were just virtue signaling and are not that insane. Then again it would help explain the constant threads they make about how to make friends.

Oh I wasn't referring to the politics or anything like that; just that in general how many people online seem to eat fast food daily.  Some of the most popular topics in any given "off topic" forum on the internet are fast food related ones.

Same with shitty national chain pizza;  obviously in retrospect the sheer number of locations for all fast food places indicates they are popular with the masses, but when I think of getting food they aren't even on my radar unless I'm driving through the middle of nowhere and there's no grocery store in sight.

I hear you on that. I'm not even in a particularly great city for food or anything, but there is enough local or non-shit food at every price point that I rarely have to eat fast food.

Though I won't lie, I'll unapologetically eat a double stack, some chicken fries, or half the stuff from Taco Bell if the moods right....Which is typically late night when all those uppity small businesses that don't subject their staff to ridiculous hours have the audacity to close on a Friday night when I'm hungry at 1am.
