That "would you hire a Trump supporter" is also amazing because for all the fire and fury most people have to narrow down the notion of "Trump supporter" to a outspoken racist dumb redneck who can't stop himself from spouting political opinions or wearing a MAGA hat at a job interview, so insanely militant he somehow couldn't perform efficiently at a job where he would interact with anything else than white straight males.
Somehow oblivious to the fact that many conservatives or racists have had steady jobs throughout... Well, all of history... Including in societies undergoing progress or alongside minorities. And that it's perfectly possible to harbor toxic views yet still be able to work efficiently and even be amiable with women, gays, POCs coworkers via a variety of behaviour (strict separation between home and work, thinking your coworkers are "the good ones", etc...).
Edit : Or that some fervent Trump supporters are affluent and professionally successful (cue the Oculus guy).
