The graphical realism that is now possible almost makes it harder to accept how unrealistic a videogame really is.

Ellie is basically superhuman now. It just clashes with realism of the graphics and the gore.

I can imagine some future games just being too unpleasant to play because of the realistic violence.

Resident Evil 2 was the best thing and it's not like that's a PS4-only game.  They showed too much of everything else.  Death Stranding was awful.  Show us a fucking GAME already.  Spider-Man at least was all action which is good.  PSVR is Vita-level to Sony at this point.

Its pretty sad what happened with Kojima and how Death Stranding is looking. MGS V has such excellent mechanics and felt great to play, there was a huge chunk of meaty gameplay with very little story. Even if MGS V was completed unstead of being rushed, gameplay would outweigh story stuff by a huuuuuuge margin.

Death Stranding is looking like MGS4 era Kojima.

I don't know. I think calling this the worst E3 ever is pretty ridiculous. AAA is pretty much at the top of it's game right now and nothing shown looked embarrassing or bad. The most meh stuff to me was Halo, Gears, and Last of Us. Which will all probably be good games in the end.

I mean I'm sorry, I'm probably a pretty shitty gamer but I do value visuals and yes I do like cinematic games. And honestly MS and Sony showed games I'm interested in spades. The problems being that MS did'nt really convince anyone about whats great about the current Xbox and Sony is all in on cinematic single player games. Also Sqaure despite having a fantastic lineup, chose not to really put that on display.

But it's true, there are so many good games out there. If you have bought into what Sony does at this point they have very interesting games.

Sony's conference was pretty bad presentation wise and major announcement wise, but I wouldn't say game wise.

Last of US 2-I mean the game looks amazing and Naughty Dog will probably put out a good game with a good story. It's just honestly, it felt kind of bland. It's kind of funny how female lead games kind of feel cliche. They aren't and I don't want to pull some shitty SJW bullshit or something. It's just the video game industry is great as overcompensating in an attempt to correct criticisms thrown at it. Right now it feels like they are doing that in regards to female leads. Still, I'm sure this game will be ok.

Ghost of Tsushima-Looked fucking amazing graphically and if I could get a decent open world game out of this I'd be very happy.

Control-Aesthetically and gameplay wise looks like a spiritual sequel to Quantum Break. I loved that game and this game has rocketed up to my most wanted list.

Resident Evil 2-All I've wanted is something to scratch my RE4 itch. I've wanted this since fucking RE5. This could be it and that excites the fuck out of me.

Death Stranding-I don't know what the fuck this is and this trailer just made really dislike Kojima even more. But it's not like I'm not intrigued. Of course I'm going to play this.

Nioh 2-This is great.

Spider-man-This looks better then it really should and will since Arkham Knight was terrible, an Arkham like game hasn't really been good since even Origins. This I think its going to be really good.

So it was an ok show.

But I mean combined this with this list of other games I'm excited for:

I just know I'm exactly the kind of gamer Sony is targeting as I eat this type of shit up. I'm the kind of person who eats up Call of Duty single player campaigns after all. I love spectacle, attention to detail, great mechanical designs, art direction, character designs, animation, and so on just as much as good gameplay.

I just hope I'm self aware enough not to fall into the sunken place that Sony fans find themselves in. Taking thier fun and sometimes well told games too seriously.

The Last of Us Part II probably should have been the closer, it was way too slow and boring to open the show. The venue move at the beginning was clunky and made an already slow opening even worse. The big chuck of time with the panel and CoD/Destiny trailers was awful.  The music segments were filler. As far as conferences go, it was the worst and most mismanaged Sony e3 in a long time.

All that said, I'm happy with some of the games they showed.

Spider-man. They showed some free roaming gameplay after the show and it looks fantastic.
Ghosts of Tsushima. Combat didn't look like a floaty mess, as I had been anticipating.

RE2. My two favorite Resident Evils had a baby.
  Death Stranding.   I'm now indifferent and burned out on this entire clusterfuck. Eventually he'll need to show what the actual gameplay loop consists of.

Man, Death Stranding is in the No Man's Sky tier for me where I both don't buy it and think it'll disappoint people extremely.

I still really like Kohima. His writing is bad, but it’s bad in a way I like. I’m ignoring everything Death Stranding until it comes out. One game I don’t want to know too much about before it comes out.

It’s becoming increasingly apparent that Sony First Party now has a formula for their games based around Last Of Us. LOU2 looks well-executed but very boring. Truthfully, I just don’t like Sony first party games that much... even though I do play most of them.

Out of everyThing so far, games of the show are Fist of the North Star, DMCV for existing, and Babylon Falls for being a new Playinum game.

Edit: Nintendo could win E3, but they could also have a conference with a 10 second sizzle reel of Metroid Prime 4, and 45 minutes of people from the treehouse playing Smash Bros U. You never can tell with them.

Almost all conferences were shit because MS sucked up the majority of the announcements, but the MS conference was for everyone, so it's still a good E3  2019 will be crazy.
