Sony: B- (the first half of the conference was on track for WOAT but they did a good job recovering)
Nintendo: B (Fire Emblem and that mecha game look great, rest of it was pretty much filler)

Didn’t watch, the only one I watched this year was the sony one, honestly forgot E3 was mainly over weekend this year. Kinda disappointing overall I think.

I mean there is a lot of great stuff coming out, it’s just that we knew about most of it already. Over a year ago.

This felt like a gen wind-down e3 but we still have prob 2 years to go. All that said I guess I am ok with it as have a horrendous backlog anyway (even when cutting back on game purchases).

Nintendo conference started off great to me- that new mech game looks awesome. And then it was some "eh" games, stuff we already knew about, impressive Xenblade DLC, Fire Emblem, and way too much fucking Smash. But that said...at least they showed GAME PLAY for Smash and detailed the changes. I'm just disappointed that it's more like Smash 4 Enhanced Edition and less all-new game. Still will buy for sure.

So awesome that Hollow Knight is out today- been waiting to play that just so I could play it on a handheld.

They only want to focus on games coming soon. So I guess that rules out Metroid this year.

Fire Emblem looks great... and that is. I will get Xenoblade 2 expansión but I really hate the entire Jin arc, Mythra is annoying cunt so I’m not thrilled to just be her and I would prefer playing from the perspective of Malos if given the choice (he is a malicious cunt, but a likeable cunt, take notes Mythra).

Ghost of Sashimi and the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer were my highlights.

I think Sony and MS had pretty equal conferences. Plenty of pros and cons for both.

Square had a pretty meh conference, but I'm excited for thier games.

Didn't bother with EA and Ubisoft as in general I don't care for the games they put out. Anthem looks cool and I'm curious about AC.

I thought Nintendo had easily the worst conference complete with special fellow like focus on boring details. But I also don't like Nintendo and Smash Bros. Kind of wish Fire Emblem was this year though.

Anyway, my take away is that there are lots of games coming out and it's pretty amazing. I'm in no rush for new consoles if the Xbox and PS4 are going to continue to have these amazing lineups.

Devolver was best, no contest.

Platform-owner-wise, I'll have to give the overall nod to MS this year, I think. Loads of games, even if most of them were for next year or only bare teasers. Still, consistent messaging and loads of stuff for everyone.

Ubi was lovably goofy and had a load of stuff to check out. Third.

Next would be Nintendo obviously. Smash gaffe aside, it had loads of stuff and was reasonably hypeable.

Bethesda after that. I'm just not that much of an Elder Scrolls fan. The bants were top notch though, and even little old me got interested in some of their offerings.

Sony was a snoozefest. Terrible pacing, and the amount and choice of games (and especially their diversity) was somewhat not to my liking. Definitely navelgazing and huffing their own farts.

PC presentation was rather dreadful, with the sole exception of the mic incident. Loads of very interesting games though. Terrible presentation marred an otherwise surprisingly solid offering.

Well, and then there was EA. And SquEnix.

Edit: Kinda unsure how to rank the Bethesda-Ubisoft-Nintendo cluster. The more I think about it, the less I can put them in order.
