Been doing this for years. Not always next to each other, but have my setup so that there's a TV or monitor nearby to have something on while playing vidya.

I usually have my laptop propped on the couch but a whole extra TV is a pro move for sure.

I don't have the friends to support two-TV LAN sessions tho lol.

That's a rare thing with console games nowadays! I spent the weekend redoing my setup (lost space due to moving my work setup into my game room!) and while I wasn't going to do this initially, BASED SAKURAI has inspired me to change it up again and go ahead and put my TV right to the side of my PC desk so I can do that multitasking.

Edit- No wait it was voice samples in the original, that they reused for Brawl with minor modifications in some parts.

I don't care either way, but it seems like the Minecraft guy can at least offer some cool ideas for moves/attacks.
Another sword guy would offer what? Smash Bros is a party game, not Samurai Showdown.

Seems to me like Smash fans want cool looking characters, more than characters with weird gimmick that'd make for interesting moves.
Like some people were seriously suggesting Dante.

I'd rather have something weird like Pacman or whatever.

Most of this characters attacks are stubby sword slashes. He reminds me of villager except villager actually has a variety of fun objects they pull out of their ass, Steve just has tools that all provide similar hitboxes. Mechanically, someone like Min Min or Terry is a whole lot more distinct among the roster than Steve imo. I feel like sakurai kind of phoned this one in.

Dropping blocks looks amusing though

Villager's bread and butter are the projectiles, which make up for his stubby melee attack range. Haven't played Steve so don't know how similar he is tho.
