He's got a point, sometimes vast stretches of their valuation is in stocks which can fluctuate pretty heavy. Can be hard to use since you need to sell off them to have cash money and large stock transactions don't really work well.
That's not to say that sitting on a fat stack of Apple stock or whatever is something to scoff at. Nor that AOC's sentiment inherently flawed, just a matter of being pedantic.
