I feel like trans acceptance will take years but a lot less time than say LGB acceptance did, which I find encouraging, even if years is way longer than it should be. LGB paved a lot of roads and, at least in America, I think Christian society has deteriorated a lot as an opposing force. Also not to minimize what trans people need to fight against, but a lot of the major anti-trans battle issues are social stigma things like bathrooms and sports and not things like repealing homosexuality laws or marriage. Not to say that there are not anti-trans laws, or that they don't have major battles in terms of medical issues, but it doesn't seem like they are the major public issues. And people will move on from trans women in women's bathrooms after a few years of hysteria when it is shown to be pointless. Honestly, I think that once we get major movie stars either coming out as trans or trans people becoming stars, things will change fast.
