Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me. The destructive "baby mama" culture, which has normalised single-parenthood in black communities, is the root of all these problems.

Problem with the Black community is poor parenting.

And it goes further than splitting up and divorcing.

I know tons of people who separated and divorced, but they still take care of kids. It might be smooth, or a messy battle with courts involved where they argue about how much time each parent gets and scheduling and who gets the house, but at the end of the day there are still two parents that try to take care of the kids even if it means a rotating parent every other week kind of thing.

I'm not in any position to judge a parent concerned for the welfare of my kid and the consequences of their activity - but I can tell you that if I were interviewed about it it would be to beg my child to come home safely and give himself up so that he could get help and end this terrible business.

This guy's dad is distraught and it's easy for me to sit here and question him, but it's an extremely unexpected response and frankly a really unhelpful and potentially dangerous one. Any mountie watching this, professionalism aside, is now more concerned about an impossible standoff than they might otherwise have been - and direct from someone close to the kid.

If I were the network I wouldn't have aired that. It's creating inflammatory dangerous predictions on top of an already powderkeg situation.

I'd appeal to both kids to give themselves up peacefully for everyone's safety - theirs, the public and the authorities. They might well be watching that broadcast from a cabin, or a cellphone. If they need help or counseling for deeper seated issues or they have a story they need to tell -- then they can find that in custody and end this without any further tragedy.

A women (female) did a deep dive into the accusations against Franken by the conservative lady who did a USO tour with him and later accused him of sexually assaulting her.  The accuser revealed this on her deeply conservative radio show.  Turns out all the women on the accusers detail dispute it and other details are shady.  For instance the accuser "alleged that he wrote a new sketch that involved his character kissing her character, and that he wrote it just to have an excuse to kiss her."

But in the actual sketch they did for the troops that was a line.  She says "Oh Al, you just wrote this sketch as an excuse to kiss me (exacerbated roll eyes)!"  Then I guess actual troops go up and kiss her and the crowd loves it.  Naturally that is hard to explain to the cornpone and liberal cornpone of the world. 

So it is a complete sort of borrowing of the line from the skit that he wrote in which she's supposed to push back and be annoyed. And she is pushing back and being annoyed. So I finally settled on trying to describe it as kind of like he was in a position of having to sort of describe an Escher drawing.

I guess it's #cancel NPR time now since they platforminationed the most anti-#metoo story I've ever heard.

First off, "outrage culture" is not a thing, it's a meme perpetrated by people who on some level do not like that people have the tools to hold other people accountable for bad shit and are using them instead of internalizing it and brushing it off. False accusations are incredibly rare compared to true ones.

Secondly, using your position as a public figure to reach out to your fans multiple times grooming them for sex, some of them much younger than him, is absolutely predatory behavior. He himself admitted that was wrong.

The “tools” that you mention have existed since a while, fucking Simpsons warned us about this like 20 years ago. The fact that a whole generation of dumbasses are just relearning this makes me think the human race is doomed.
