I'm gonna second Boredfrom here, there's an eagerness to label people "pedos" under flimsy pretenses that is pretty unnerving. ERA has a shitty record both in puritanical moral panics and using propagated misinformation as ground for purity tests.

As far as I remember there wasn't much in the way of incredibly obvious red flags for someone like Amir0x, despite how transparently unhinged he was in many respects otherwise.

That's not just era, welcome to The Bore where meeting your wife when she was 19 will get you a scarlet P.

Granted.. "The prepubescent Watson is absurdly alluring to those of us who always went for bossy girls; when she fixed her eyes on Radcliffe and said, "Harreh, do be keh-ful" my heart did about five somersaults".... sure is a sentence.

If REEE is what the American left represents, would that be such a bad thing?

Only a delusional fuck would think REEEE represents the left, real or fictional. They're re-re's stuck in their own bubble. They don't represent the Democratic Party, they don't even represent Socialism or Progressivism. They're extremists without a shepherd. No one cares what they think. Even AOC has tried working with her "enemies" and has recanted the REEE brand of extremism. Their ideas of social justice aren't mainstream. They're just loud voices in a sea of many.

As for why Democrat over Trump?

Scientists say we have 18 months to make real changes towards our planet to curb and reverse the impact of climate. That means policy changes to help make that happen. Trump and his administration has rejected climate changes existence. We need a Democrat in the office stat. Someone like Joe doesn't even acknowledge the REEE's. Better him than Trump.

It's funny you think I have a problem with fat people because I'm posting hilarious fat sjw rhetoric that contends being fat is healthy and smart life choice. But you're so pressed about it likely because you're taking it the wrong way, end up being triggered as if it's a commentary on you when it isn't, and getting offended.

Oh so people can post all sorts of laughable sjw shit, but not unless its fat sjws. I see, I see.

Because it seems to me like they don't even know that and I would say that's a pretty big reason Trump is currently fucking up the world.

Let's not pretend the Democrats are going to do much different. We had 8 years of Obama and he was still doing some pretty reprehensible shit.

What are the Democrats going to do differently this time around?

Quote
Palmer used to reside in Boston, Massachusetts, with other artists in a cooperative named the Cloud Club.[57]

She has identified as bisexual,[58] telling afterellen.com in 2007: "I'm bisexual, but it's not the sort of thing I spent a lot of time thinking about," Palmer said. "I've slept with girls; I've slept with guys, so I guess that's what they call it! I'm not anti trying to use language to simplify our lives."[59] Palmer has spoken out on feminist issues[60] and about her open relationships, stating in one interview that "I've never been comfortable in a monogamous relationship in my life. I feel like I was built for open relationships just because of the way I function," Palmer explained. "It's not a reactive decision like, 'Hey I'm on the road, you're on the road, let's just find other people.' It was a fundamental building block of our relationship. We both like things this way."[61]
Quote
Neil Gaiman and Palmer confirmed their engagement in 2010[64] and Palmer hosted a flash mob wedding (not legally binding) for Gaiman's birthday in New Orleans later the same year. The couple legally married in a private ceremony in 2011.[65] The wedding took place in the parlor of writers Ayelet Waldman and Michael Chabon.[66] Palmer gave birth to the couple's son, Anthony "Ash", on September 16, 2015.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanda_Palmer

I admit, I am sad at the news that Neil Gaiman gets made into a giant dad every day.

No.

Studies say overweight people are pursuing weight loss less and a possible contributing factor is the fat acceptance movement which posits that it’s safe and perfectly healthy to be fat or else you’re fatphobic or chasing an ideal set by society. This is a public hazard. They should be publicly mocked with their ideology laid bare so that people recognize it for it is and curb it while it’s still growing.

Someone clearly has to be willfully naive to think that being obese is healthy and I don't think the 'fat acceptance' movement moves the needle much, if at all. If i've learned anything from resetera its that hostility just makes most people dig into their positions even more.

Willfully naive? Have you ever been fat? Or the mindset of what that’s like? No, these are people who don’t think they can lose weight so they turn it into a positivity movement. It’s not about naïveté. It’s about finding a way to feel better about yourself, which is a human trait, and why this is spreading on social media.
