I have to make a confession, Zoe Quinn's lip ring never doesn't look like a cold sore to me. I'm baffled at the fact she's not recognized this in five years of her image being all over.

Now to say something nice: I like Anita's tiger shirt.

It did but that was before the alt-right started weaponizing suicide.
The Axis already did that in WWII.
This is just that "Divine Wind" business all over again. :japancry

The sister is clearly a card carrying member of the cult. She her soybro might be dead but she can still avoid getting cancelled herself due to affiliation (by blood) with someone who was cancelled.

I did read Zoe Quinn's allegations and I do believe them btw. I can believe he was a very vulnerable person that did some bad things. Just a sad situation all around.

for me, to be credible I need to hear those devs he managed to fool and blacklist zoe, as her tale says.

Because you can't say "it worked" and then don't say names. It makes it into the vague paranoia she's known for, such as "two people on a random imageboard said mean spirited things about me. This is why women are not allowed in the industry" kind of shit she pulled before GG.

this is shosta's parents. We regret to inform the bore dot com that shosta was found dead hanging in his closet five minutes ago. We would like some privacy at this sensitive time.

Guys, now that shosta has passed away it’s important that we recognize her status as a trans woman. Much like Kurt Cobain, she was always a woman that never had time to blossom.

User banned (1 week): inflammatory community generalizations, prior bans for inflammatory behaviour
Quote
Oh geeze. Everyone deserves a chance to become a better person. Even if it might not be possible for him to make amends to those he harmed due to the extent of what he did, it still would have been better if he were able to get the help and self-improvement he needed.
Not according to this forum they don't.

You're either pure or you're fucked
User Banned (3 Days): Backseat Moderation

This thread should just be locked. It's a fucking horrible situation where someone has ended up dead.
User Banned (2 weeks): inappropriate speculation on mental health in a sensitive thread

This could have very well happened
you nor I have the answers to this.

I hope the victims his family and friends can all get through this tough situation.
User Banned (duration pending): Inflammatory accusations; ignoring a staff post
Quote
Christ, that’s shitty. Glad he’s being put on full blast, and I hope he gets what’s coming.
Just seeing this on the first page made me feels sick. People of Resetera have played their part in this tragedy. Whether the allegations were real or not, this mob culture has to stop. Anyone could be accused of wrongdoing and find their life destroyed, regardless of truth. That could easily be you or a loved one. And places like this site and Twitter perpetuate that. Victims should be believed but public lynching and life destroying is taking it too far. You are not the judge, jury and executioner. Is it right that someone’s life can be destroyed by an allegation? No, it’s not.

And with that (likely going to be banned for speaking my mind anyway), I think I’m done with gaming forums, especially this one.
User Banned (Duration Pending): Inflammatory Accusations Over Multiple Posts in this Thread; Ignoring Staff Post
Quote
This shit bums me out too and disgusts me. His death (And I'm assuming suicide) reeks of a manipulative behavior that I can't quite put into words right now. Alec has permanently altered the course of the #MeToo resurgence happening in games media and caused even more irreparable harm and damage to victims.

It fucking sucks man.
Wait seriously?

Holy fuck. Not a shred of humanity left in there.

Haven't y'all learned anything after Etika? STOP DOGPILING. Zoe accused him, you believe her? Then uninstall his games, unfollow on twitter, whatever. The whole woke circus that was this thread is unnecessary and inhumane.

And for the record, those of you making the argument that since he was a criminal he deserved the treatment he got, ITS THE SAME ARGUMENT REPUBLICANS MADE WHEN JUSTIFYING THE INHUMANE AND DRACONIAN INDUSTRIAL-PRISON COMPLEX.
User Banned (Duration Pending): Inflammatory Accusations; Ignoring Staff Post

Well said.
User banned (5 days): thread whining and generalizations in a sensitive topic

I really dont felt comfortable posting on here anymore, not fear of straying away from common line of thought or mods banning me for dumb shit, I have said some dumb shit and have been rightly call up on it, but this whole thread is vile on so many levels. Genuinely don't think I'm equipped to post on here anymore if this gonna be sort of threads sitting at top of the page. Maybe I'm simple & niave but I wanna talk about games not rape allegations sexual offenders, I can't be only one who feels that way.
keep up the good work, team

As for the content in this thread. What’s the deal with the ”bra plate” on the Gears armour? Why??

SoulCalibur VI is very guilty of this, with the female characters revealing more skin than ever, while the male characters show less skin than they've done in any previous instalment.
This is just not true. Let's keep things in the thread grounded. Even without taking into account armor breaks, it's not true. And then if we do take into account armor breaks, Mitsurugi and Azwel spent most of the EVO finals in a fundoshi and briefs respectively.

Every single one of those bans in that Alec thread are reasonable posts. I continue to be amazed by the day how bad that site keeps getting. Like, it's not even funny anymore. Cancel culture has lead to a suicide and yet instead of stepping back and even entertaining the thought that it's gone too far, these psychopaths dig in even deeper. Terrifying.

Everything is hilarious to me after my surprisingly popular and now banned thread about guys in the core gamer community talking about their boners and ejaculations everytime they can. Most guys seems to sit with one hand gripping their ”joystick” all the time. And maybe that’s the whole problem, there they’re gripping the ”stick” and then Mitsurugi drops his pants, which makes thing awkwards lol
I’ve said many dumb things in the past and my insta is full of filthy art, I’m part of the problem. But after that boner thread I’m 100000% behind every change this thread is focused on that might get gaming out of the filthy hole it’s in right now! I never thought it was this bad. The gamer horniness is normalized to an extreme degree and people are just piling it all up for a good laugh. It’s all so so sooo very tiring and it’s seriously damaging to the whole hobby. Things needs to change! Close the zippers!

I want to say I'm surprised by the responses, but I'm not. It's a perfectly valid thing to point out and it's annoying as hell. Also I was amazed by the number of dudes trying to push the "you are being sex negative" angle and saying "women do it too/have you not heard of sploosh or ladyboner". If it weren't for threads like this one I'd be off this site tbh.

Edit: Also I'd love for more people to realize not wanting to see boners and bonertalk on threads about games doesn't make a person a prude lol. The sexual revolution men need is certainly not about the proliferation of phallic imagery.

Isn't it extremely suspucious to still have a low post count for the last progressive bastion on the entire planet? It's a dog whistle in itself and suggests to me the visit of toxic communities elsewhere or even the real world. BAN EVERYONE WITH LESS THAN 500 POSTS; DO IT YOU COWARDS :rejoice

Hi, Esch: https://www.reddit.com/r/ChapoTrapHouse/comments/cy08ey/so_neogaf_was_known_as_a_liberal_site_and_then/

what does this mean, from their automoderator at the top

Quote
Remember the admins will always defend the most cruel and bigoted examples of inhumanity "Regardless of how abhorrent that individual or group may be" - Reddit Admin 2019

So no violence or implied violence plz :)

I get that they're bitter at reddit admins because reddit quarantined them but this reads like they're mad that they don't get to wish violence on people anymore

:confused

also if that statement were true then it would be fine to advocate for violence because in demonstrating you're a cruel and bigoted example of humanity you would then be defended by the admins

Yeah I kind of hate artists who restrict themselves to doing females only because they are cishets. I open myself up to characters who are underappreciated in terms of yaoi stuff like 9S, Akira/Ren/Joker, Rex, Pit, Link, and a whole lot of other guys. I do have my weaknesses for female characters like Rachnera, who are heavily sexualized for male viewers, but I still like her motherly personality in the anime she's in. Other females aren't as large chested I like include Sucy from LWA, Ashley from Wario Ware, and quite a few others that don't come to the top of my head right now.
Quote from: Biestmann
It's alright to want all of that stuff MainMain, but don't you feel it goes against the spirit of this thread? We argue against sexualization here, so for you to ask for more sexualization so fanatically is quite off-putting to me personally. Not sure how the women of the thread feel about that. I guess I am just asking you to be considerate.
Quote from: Biestmann
Quote
I guess what I'm saying here is to appreciate male designs more, like what the couple people are doing with Uriens now. Apologies if I'm off-putting you either way, as I want more respectable women character designs to make it a balance between the two extremes of sexualizing to the extreme and hiding women under 100 layers of clothing.
You want to appreciate them sexually, which again, is the opposite of what we argue characters should be designed for here.
Quote from: Morrigan
Quote
I should ask, what would be a good male character design for you that’s appealing?
This really isn't the thread for this.

Unless there's something really intriguing to the plot that the trailers completely omit (and I am generally aware at this point of who gets killed), this movie really seems to me like a case of style that tricks people into feeling like there's substance.

I always hope to be wrong when thinking a movie looks bad or mediocre, so I hope I'm wrong but... yeesh, does that trailer make it look like the socioeconomic aspects are going to be superficial at best, and completely embarrassing at worst.

See I don't even know how you run into any instance of someone who WOULD follow someone like Ben Shapiro. How does that leak into your feed? You control every aspect of it.

My Twitter is like 6 columns, Gaming, Sports, News, Deals, Comedy, Home. I don't "Follow" anyone. If I find someone funny, I add them to the Comedy list. If I come across an interesting article about NFL, I add that feed to the Sports list. My News is like WaPo, NYT, a few singular respected journalists, Reuters, various AP accounts.

If someone on one of the lists annoys me or posts shit that I don't give a fuck about I just remove them. For example I love comedian Joey Diaz, I think he's hilarious. I had him on my Comedy feed but the guy is garbage at Twitter, it's all just stupid Periscope links and self-promotion. He's gone now but I'm still a fan.

Re-examine how you use the platform instead of just saying "OH ITS ALL TRASH" when you're "Following" Trump, Bernie Sanders, some bitch-tits GOP rep who spouts nonsense, alt-right/extreme left weirdos, Joe Rogan, and a bunch of other try-hards who just want to be seen and spew hot takes.

No but it's not my country or language and I wasn't affected. Maybe this was a hardship for them. I think language as a barrier between cultures is problematic but not up to me to decide which language or blend thereof should be the (pun avoidable but hey) Lingua Franca.

If the value to you of your language is political rather than practical then again, not my politics.

Canada and voters chose this situation. It looks expensive and fraught with emotion and has a maximal heritage weighting of three hundred years followed by profound rejection of its actual aboriginal heritage tongues (for English and French) but so does much of the world.

It'll all work out eventually. I hope. They (the whole world) should pick a language that's objectively flexible and useful and portable.

I'll be embarrassed if we're still having this problem in two or three hundred years except as a purely optional choice.

Emily Rogers, Nibel95, Sweet Nicole, sirpopopop is no longer an admin either, same for Methuselah, Rowlf (who even requested his ban... Didn't remember that. That's, huh, something).

That's 2/3 of the original admins out not even 2 years in. Plus the constant revolving door for mods. What the fuck is even happening behind the scenes, Jesus.

This got a ban? Christ, this might be the most egregious example of a mod’s personal vendetta I’ve seen yet

Dave Chappelle is off limits now.
