If you are homeless and trash the only clean bathroom you have access to, that someone else cleaned because you were too lazy or unable to clean yourself, then fuck you. I have no sympathy for your need to control something in your life. How about you get your arse up, have a shower and get a fucking job you lazy piece of shit. The fact that I'm meant to sympathize with people like that is the reason we have a society of individuals that don't value personal responsibility and want to blame everyone else for their problems.

You two have no understanding of the rage that comes with feeling completely powerless. The kind of attitude those homeless people exhibit has nothing to do with character. I pray that you never find yourself in a situation where you have nothing to live for and no-one and nothing, being judged by strangers who havn't even a faintest inkling about the realities of your psychological difficulties.

Trashing the only clean bathroom you have access to in order to feel like you have "control" is the very definition of cutting off your nose to spite your face. Particularly when the only reason you have access to that bathroom is because of the kindness and charity of someone else and because someone volunteered to clean the fucking thing for your lazy fucking arse.

I will never feel sorry for someone who does this and those people are rightly rejected by civilised society.

You're just focusing on him to take away from the message of the post. :idont It's a deflection tactic.

Its not a deflection tactic to ask why you're "both sidesing" the hypocrisy of republican politicians and policy makers with comparisons to left leaning entertainers, or to point out that the example you gave - that michael moore was only bothered about unethical warfare when Bush did it and did not openly criticise actions like Obamas missile strikes on Libya - literally did not do the thing you are accusing them of.
Its a confusion response.

Not having an address you can have correspondence delivered to, or job applications and paychecks sent to, or easy access to a shower and a set of clean clothes to go to an interview in is a bigger deal than you seem to think it is, and it is pretty grotesque that as a society you can simultaneously have people sleeping in tents and sneaking toilet use in a mcdonalds or starbucks until the staff get wise, while entire office buildings remain vacant month in month out because nobody wants to rent them

I give generously to homeless persons if I have cash on me because it must really suck to live on the streets  :idont
Still the effort of begging other people for money all day could be channeled to something more productive I feel.

In ways living as a homeless person must be less stressful.

Thinking about your day to day life and searching for the cheapest liquor or drugs being the main activities.
Living in the moment, not worrying about geopolitics, culture wars, customer journeys and profit margins.

Unlike Steve Jobsian Elon Musk-esque people like me who feel like it is their destiny to change the world in meaningful ways
and lead a class of society who'd otherwise play WoW in their basements all day to realize their full potential.

If you're homeless with no security, no sense of the future, hopeless, psychologically damaged, often thinking about suicide, then you're probably going to end up doing stuff like this.  It's not 'laziness' at that point.  Some people fall down and need help getting back up.  They get to a point where they cannot do it themselves.   You're not aware of the ensemble of support and security that keeps a human being together mentally until you've lost it.

Massive protests for Bush's Iraq war circa 2003.

(Image removed from quote.)

Apparently labeled "biggest protest ever".

Obama continues Iraq war and uses drones to kill innocents on terrorist watch lists.

Democrats reelect in 2012.

Really makes you

The Peace Prize was a joke, and democrats were hypocritical about a lot of things with Obama. But I don't think that's what this is... because I think democrats would have supported Bush doing the same thing as Obama.

After 9/11 Bush had tons of popular support, even from other countries. If his response had been Obama style drone strikes, and especially if he killed Bin Laden like Obama did, he'd be on Mount Rushmore. Not only would it have been politically damaging for democrats to come out against him, I doubt they would have wanted to.

The crazy thing about Bush is that he was bad enough to turn everyone against him despite the initial support. Because instead of saying he was going to drone strike the terrorists that did 9/11, his administration decided to manipulate intelligence, run a campaign to connect Iraq to 9/11, lie about WMDs, to start a war that enriched his friends and got him personal vengeance. And at the same time he was trying to privatize social security, something which went too far even for his own base.

https://twitter.com/Variety/status/1174971989825482752

This style of humor is entirely based on having the benefit of the doubt.

If a well-known liberal comic said about Chinese restaurants "The translation between you and the waiter is such a fucking hassle, I’m pointing at it" it would still an unfunny way to fill time in a podcast, but other liberals would assume they were being self-deprecating, and that it was really about how dumb they felt pointing at a menu.

And if they said what he does here, it would also be assumed to be self-deprecating. He would have the benefit of the doubt that he knew his previous jokes failed (as he has admitted), so the joke would be creating the mental image of getting fired for them and then immediately repeating them with the death threats as if he still thought they were great jokes.

But since you can tell just by looking at him that he is a Trump voter and probably not smart enough to be self-deprecating, he can't get that benefit of the doubt. Instead it is assumed that he is dead serious, letting people know that they haven't stopped him from doing bad racist jokes, and even though he earlier said they were failures, he secretly thought they were masterpieces.

No one read any of that, Thirty

Quote from: OP
That's a quote from the very first scene of It Chapter Two. Two gay lovers are being harassed by homophobes and one of the gay men says this sassy remark (which was met with laughter only from probs straight girls in the theater).

As a gay man I'm tired of this. Is there any depiction of a gay couple in media where the guys aren’t stereotypical as fuck? I mean, I’m sure there are, but I would say a vast majority of examples I’ve seen exhibit stereotypical behavior.

This is like when you aunt watches a movie and says, "I liked the movie except for the villian.  Why did he have to be in it?"

Sugar Noodles joins in to try to make a frank depiction of intolerant homophobia the real crime instead of the actual murder.

Quote
Let’s not pretend that this scene would have gone over well if it was violence against women to illustrate a social issue.

Quote
She fucking fights him off and takes off her wedding ring. How are these remotely comparable? Jesus Christ straight people are exhausting.

Also, the best gays on TV were Steve and Brian from Sarah Silverman Program.

When they showed up on set to play the neighbors they were confused if they were supposed to be brothers or gay.  Gays loved them so much Bravo co-funded the final seasons of the show.

Quick skim through that squabble.
Depends on what you mean by trashing, I don't see making a bit of a mess as trashing, if you're in crappy circumstances can't exactly fault you for sprinkling tinkling. I'm imagining something like someone shitting in the sink or something.

In which case, don't give a fuck about your lifestory. You're just being as asshole by jerking around the poor sod cleaning the bathroom. Someone being paid probably not that much or maybe not even at all.
Then again, not surprised at the apathy towards the people doing the cleaning. They tend to be min-wage immigrants you barely know exist, bathrooms just clean themselves as far as most people are concerned.
