ResetERA was setup already as a site before EviLore's story broke, and people like Nibel/shinobi had already been reaching out to different OTs about the launch of a new site.

This was before any sort of moderator unrest or drama.

All of a sudden people find this obscure post on the comment section of Facebook, PoliGAF ends up as all mods/admins/owners of an llc owning the site and the "influencers" who had reached out to OTs prior also got mod positions.

I do not know the mod that Robin alluded to. I was unaware of Royalan's post from 2017 until it was posted here. I have, however, been privy to all of the information about Ketkat that has been divulged up into this point and understand why she was banned. But I also know that my inability to divulge what I've read means that the information might as well not even exist from your point of view, and as such it doesn't matter.

None of this matters in light I've how things have fallen apart between staff and the trans community.

All I want to say is: I'm sorry.

I'm sorry if I've ever posted something that has undermined you all and made you feel unappreciated and unwanted on the basis of your gender identity and expression. I'm sorry for the way the situation's devolution has made you feel ignored. I'm sorry that I cannot give you what you are hoping for in regards to Ketkat's membership with the limited power and context I'm working with. I'm sorry that my apology is all I can give you, because I know it is ultimately as worthless as the inciting incident at this point in time. But at the same time you all deserve something and I don't know what more I can give to you as an individual than the response I'm writing now.

I was a regular member once, and have forever been a minority. I know what it's like to just try to exist on the Internet without either some gaslighting bigot or even just some well-meaning know-it-all coming in with some nonsense that you, with your lived experience, can see clear as day, and feeling like you are alone in the midst of fighting back against the endless tide of ignorance, like staff doesn't have your back. That hurts, and I don't want anyone else to experience this ever again.

You all are also free to talk to me, with assurance that anything you say to me directly will not result in any staff action. Mods have been super vocal previously that behaviour off-site does not constitute bans on Era, it's been an issue in the past when there are members that are being bigoted on other sites, or sharing personal details of other Era members, it getting brought back to mods, and mods refusing to take action. But now the opposite is applying in this case, while the policy as it had been stated previously is still in place for the mod in question.

If moderation policy has changed since those past events, I'm not sure. I haven't been active in the community much over the past 10ish months, and I readily admit they may have changed in that respect! But as it is with the experience I have it leaves a bad taste in my mouth, completely disregarding every other issue with all of this.

That’s what happens when forum personalities take over the modding. Even though the old place was shit, I feel like the modding there was handled way better. The transparency here is just a smokescreen.

I don't buy into conspiracies, but they setup an llc and had a plan for distribution of accrued funds along with setting up influencers to talk to OTs.

The influencers/OTs all met on a Discord, had the forum to themselves for a bit, and went onto become Mods/Admins/Community Leaders.

Also the owners of the llc were all wealthy neolibs who bragged about exceeding donation limits to HRC several times over through Super PACs
