Did Silent Hill 2 have a trigger warning way back when?

Trigger warnings are pointless anyway but don't tell them
“Trigger warnings don’t seem to help, and they can produce temporary anxiety,” says Richard McNally, professor and director of clinical training in the Harvard University psychology department. “The take-home message is that people underestimate their resilience.”

you know
I've understood this for a while, but I will say that in this study they seemed to operate under the assumption that a content warning is supposed to make someone brace for impact and then watch the thing anyway
but it makes more sense that the warning is so you can avoid watching it in the first place, oh thank you kind person, now I can avoid this distressing content
so in that sense maybe they work? unless a study shows that nearly everyone shrugs and still watches the thing
still feel pretty strongly that the extremely online use of triggered is a mockery of actual triggering that war vets go through, where they literally relive the experience again and forget themselves, a severe, crippling problem and not tee hee oh I get triggered when people sexualize that resident evil vampire lady
