It is ironic to me that Ree is full of people unwilling to look past themselves. That posters point was perhaps you are letting your experiences form your opinion on media, with elements that may or may not be there. Which is you know  something people do. Instead of being self aware of that fact, i guess the person pointing out it just a monster trying to man explain. Instead of trying to reason with someone who honestly had not 100% shown to be a "bad faith" actor yet, maybe only ignorant, it was easier to just ignore them and then ban.

Well now that dude will probably go to GAF and become an "enemy" because he has had (among many probably if he posted on ree a lot) a bad experince with the extreme "woke".

Part of being empathetic to me is also being aware that people do not experince the same things because they are different. I try to be aware that I don't always experince the same stuff that LGBQT people do. That I will read certain things differently. That dosen't make me a bad person because I don't see the same problematic elements in certain works and thus they do not hit me the same. But I am open to listening to what others who do have that perspective see. But I wont be if you constantly label me a bad person because I don't 100% come to your side. I'm never going to become an alt right shit head, but these are the kind of interactions that push people that way and REE and other "woke" people need to realize this.
