The annual Games of the Year vote is a beloved tradition and it's only made possible by the effort of these individuals and all those who have come before.

OFFICIAL RULES AND SAMPLE BALLOT

Every ballot must contain two things:
Your votes, selected through Ballots 2.0, with the games you want to vote for listed in descending order: Your #1 favorite game must be at the top of the list.​
An explanation as to why you chose each game. This should be written into the normal reply box like any regular post.​

4. Scroll through the list of suggested matches until you find the game that you want to vote for. Note that if it is a multiplatform game, there will be separate options for every version of the game. Make sure to select the version that you played or prefer.

Playable content released this year is eligible. This includes new games, remasters, ports, and so on.
DLC, including expansion packs, are eligible to be voted on as long as it's playable. Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers is eligible. Horse Armor is not.
Episodes of games released this year are eligible.

  i don’t know about anything on their social media if something happened but if this is referencing dialogue in a touhou doujin they did, it might have been slightly out of context based on the translation? it’s a little more likely they’re all references to things people argue are true or false, and supposedly (as I’m mostly going off on good faith that it exists as I can’t personally verify) there’s another doujin they did that is very upfront about the existence of comfort women and how horrible it was.

That's the tricky thing right, about a sexual character like Bayonetta which should be fine but then the sexualisation is unfortunately also attached which can at times undermine that. If James Bond, Kratos, Leisure Suit Larry, Geralt, and other male sexual characters can exist without sexualisation or objectification, why not female sexual characters? Surprisingly there are very few female sexual protagonists outside of RPGs like Bioware games, Assassin's Creed, or Cyberpunk 2077. There is just Cate Archer who can be sexual but isn't objectified, which is why I'm still wishing Monolith or some developer buys the rights back and makes a new NOLF game.
