At this point we've already established the marginalization is more internal than external (on the violence front). At least in America, there is no directly violent legislation being proposed against trans people, it's entirely based on denying their identity in various ways. The threat to their physical existence has always been suicide as a result of what's going on around them, which sucks of course, but I've never heard of encouraging suicide as equivalent to genocide regardless of how bad conditions got. It would be like calling Jonestown a genocide. There's really no other marginalized group I can think of where the threat isn't state violence or (non-group specific) basic human rights being taken away, but self-harm.
