Did someone punch duckwad's cat?

What's the sense in jumping down someone's throat because they dared suggest a topic might better be suited for another location?

Meanwhile, idiot threads like "help me puke!" are left to flourish.

I have an idea that involves google and its search function. There should be plenty of suggestions for inducing vomit as well as many pictures to speed the process.

the new homeless gaf dude was buying games on steam and xbla the day before 'he got kicked out'. Also according to his posting history, he was suposed to graduate in may, and thats according to a girl-age thread he made in 2008

My theory is that he got kicked out because he was sitting on his ass at home all day playing videogames instead of going out and finding a job.

Getting kicked out randomly like that 'with no reasons' only happens in Pat Benatar videos.

LOS ANGELES - A writer plans to sue “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer, accusing her of plagiarism by lifting passages from an obscure book she wrote called “The Nocturne” and using them in vampire romance "Breaking Dawn," an attorney said on Tuesday.

J. Craig Williams, who represents "“The Nocturne” author Jordan Scott, told Reuters by phone that the passages in question involve few word-for-word similarities but that the two books have similar plot and character points.

Meyer's publisher, Hachette Book Group, called the accusation meritless, saying “The Twilight Saga” is entirely Meyer's creation and that she knew nothing of “The Nocturne.”

:o

YES

Isn't the last novel, Breaking Down, widely believed to not just be the worst of all the Twilight novels but one of the worst mainstream novels of all-time?

If you were going to blatantly plagiarize from something, I hope that Stephanie Meyer would have the good sense to steal from something good.

Quote
Breaking Dawn is split into three separate "books", or parts. The first part details Bella's marriage and honeymoon with Edward, which they spend on a private island off the coast of Brazil. Days into their honeymoon, Bella realizes that she is pregnant and that her condition is progressing at an unnaturally accelerated rate. After contacting Carlisle, who confirms her pregnancy, she and Edward immediately return home to Forks, Washington. Edward, concerned for Bella's well-being and convinced that the fetus is a monster as it continues to develop with unnatural rapidity, urges her to have an abortion. However, Bella wants to keep the child and so she contacts Rosalie for support, knowing that Rosalie has always wanted children.

The second part of the novel is written from Jacob's point-of-view, and lasts throughout Bella's pregnancy and childbirth. The Quileute werewolf pack, not knowing what danger the unborn child may pose, make plans to destroy it, even though they must kill Bella to do so. Jacob vehemently protests this decision and leaves, forming his own pack with Leah and Seth Clearwater. Bella soon gives birth, but the baby breaks many of her bones and she loses massive amounts of blood. In order to save her life, Edward changes her into a vampire. Jacob, who was present for the birth, almost immediately "imprints"—an involuntary response in which a werewolf finds his soul mate—on Edward and Bella's newborn daughter, Renesmee.

The third section of Breaking Dawn shifts back to Bella's perspective, finding her changed into a vampire and enjoying her new life and abilities. However, the vampire Irina misidentifies Renesmee as an "immortal child", a child who has been turned into a vampire. Because "immortal children" are uncontrollable, creating them has been outlawed by the Volturi. After Irina presents her allegation to the Volturi, they plan to destroy Renesmee and the Cullens. In an attempt to save her, the Cullens gather vampires from around the world to stand as witnesses and prove to the Volturi that Renesmee is not an immortal child. Upon confronting the gathered Cullen allies and witnesses, the Volturi discover that they have been misinformed and immediately execute Irina for her mistake. However, they remain undecided on whether Renesmee should be viewed as a threat to vampires' secret existence. At that time, Alice and Jasper, who had left prior to the confrontation, return with Nahuel, a 150-year-old vampire-human crossbreed like Renesmee. He demonstrates that the crossbreeds pose no threat, and the Volturi leave. Bella, Edward and Renesmee return to their home in peace.

How do you get around something so painfully obvious.

The only thing dude "imprints" is a big ass jizz stain all over his pants because he's a baby fucker.

No, see, when the werewolf imprints and the other person isn't old to be their lover, the werewolf just becomes like a close family member! There's absolutely NO underage or premarital sex going on here! No, sir!

So this series is basically nothing but a group of deus ex machinas conveniently crafted one after another? :lol

That's not fair at all considering Hanna-Barbera had their hand in many many cartoon classics such as Tom and Jerry.

But this!

It sounds absolutely terrible. More proof that women lack taste! They ruined music and now they're trying to ruin literature!

They did! But they still did a lot of good too. What has Twilight done aside from making women and girly men (kyofu at gaf) absolutely obsessed with its awful writing?

The Flinstones was the first prime-time cartoon television show! Let that sink in! What has Twilight done?! Has Twilight had an hour long show where the Harlem Globetrotters appear as a guest star?! NO.

Fuck, Birdman was awesome. BIRRRRRDDDDMAN. Hell yeah.

70's animation is mostly doo doo across the board. Even the animu is mostly poopy, but there's some goodies. Notice how the budget is thrown completely out the window in 90% of toons in the 70's. Even the Disney is surprisingly low budget. As much as I love it, the Robin Hood movie from the 70's is low budget all around, I mean, there are scenes are entirely ripped from Snow White's famous rotoscope scenes. They didn't even try to alter them, you'll see a similarly animated scene except with a different cel. Replace Snow White with a character from Robin Hood and you've got Robin Hood!

That reminds me, Himuro. I bought a ton of H-B cartoons on DVD at Big Lots over the past two weeks, and watching it. I guess it's only appropriate since I've been making my way through 30's, 40's, and 50's American animation that I eventually get to the 60's. Flintstones, Huckleberry Hound, Top Cat, Johnny Quest, and some C-Grade stuff like Space Ghost, Birdman, and Wacky Races. But even the bad stuff has a nostalgic quality, and watching the documentary about Alex Toth (comic book artist and character designer of Birdman, Space Ghost, and The Herculoids) was pretty cool. I think I'm going to start a H-B Appreciation Thread.

I was watching Boomerang yesterday and the Flinstones came on. It's hilarious watching some of them because the animation can be soooo bad. There was one scene where Fred is standing on top of a background and the background is essentially a bunch of crayon. I was laughing so hard. :lol
