I support the freedom fighters attempting to bring democracy to the totalitarian frozen wasteland that sits along our UNDEFENDED BORDER.

I hope that President Trump begins consideration of their acceptance as non-self-governing territories of the United States like Guam, Puerto Rico and the Kingdom of Hawai'i.

LOOK AT WHAT THE FAT CATS BACK EAST ARE DOING WHILE WESTERN CANADA SUFFERS UNDER THE IMPERIALIST YOKE:
https://twitter.com/Raptors/status/1186787954267693057
Quote
Here are some of the features of what the team called the "largest NBA championship ring" ever produced:

A 1.25-carat diamond atop the Larry O'Brien Trophy, the largest single diamond in any professional sports ring

The front of the ring depicts the Toronto skyline and Scotiabank Arena, along with the team's chevron logo

The 74 diamonds in and around the Toronto skyline represent the team's 74 wins in the regular season and playoffs

Above the arena on the front of the ring are six round diamonds representing "The Six," which rapper and Raptors global ambassador Drake popularized as another reference for the city of Toronto

16 rubies and the 16 jersey numbers of the players on the championship roster encircle the ring

Inside the ring, the championship logo is engraved above the Raptors' postseason series records and a ruby is set inside a maple leaf representing Canada

One side of the ring features the player's name and number

The opposite side features "World Champions 2019" above the Raptors' logo

In total, the ring boasts 14 carats' worth of diamonds and more than 650 total diamonds; both are the most ever in any professional championship ring.
Quote
Drake and superfan Nav Bhatia also received rings, the team confirmed. Drake also commissioned Jason of Beverly Hills to make him a separate ring, which has over 30 carats of diamonds.

Is brexit happening?
Well, they voted for the deal with the EU, so it is happening.
But not on the timetable that Johnson wanted, which was to push it through before the 31st.

So they're going to take more time to pass all the necessary legislation and debate it.

Brexit is happening unless Corbyn can win an election against Boris, which he can't.

This is what could happen if Labour keeps blocking new elections.

Apparently if Labour does not support an election next week and stalls again, Boris will not bring any new Brexit bills or any legislation to the table and will only campaign for new elections during his remainder in office.
Nor will he try to pass the Brexit deal, instead he will run down the clock of any new extension and crash out with no deal anyway if that is the outcome.

(Bloomberg) -- Thousands of 50-pence coins minted to commemorate Brexit on Oct. 31 will be melted down after Prime Minister Boris Johnson accepted an extension from the European Union, two people familiar with the matter said.

U.K. Chancellor of the Exchequer Sajid Javid had announced plans for millions of coins engraved with the date Johnson pledged to leave the bloc, but production was paused last week when it became clear there would be a delay.

On Monday, Johnson accepted the EU’s offer of a three-month extension to Jan. 31, and the decision was taken for all the coins to be melted down, according to the people, who asked not to be identified. One of them said hundreds of thousands of the coins had been minted already.

Javid’s predecessor, Philip Hammond, had also planned to mint a more limited number of the 50-pence coins to mark the original Brexit date of March 29.

Such typefaces (uppercase only) don't allow for contrast (variations in weights etc.). The text is also displayed without any room to breathe, often stuffed into the corners.
That ad looks like a high school video project and it probably is. The typeface picked is difficult to scan because of the strange height. It's ok to use for one or two words but not sentences or multi-line texts.

Gotham is an example of a more versatile typeface, used in the past by the Obama campaign, Inception, Spotify, Netflix etc. at some point Gotham was everywhere.
Now politicians are using Gotham a lot because it is such a clear and strong typeface and the obvious Obama connection.

Proxima Nova is a sort of boring typeface the Conservatives in the UK are often using in their messaging but it allows for multiple weights and styles to play with.
The Vote Leave campaign was also really well designed compared to the
Britain
Stronger
In
Europe

campaign.

Which was literally difficult to read lined out like this.

And there was this:

Some expensive 9 figure agency designed '#votin' ads which completely bombed. Because it was literally the "How do you do kids.gif" in ad form. the typeface was fine but the color all wrong.
Red is associated with 'Against'. So Chilln(g), Meetin(g), Tourin(g), Votin(g) tells people to vote but not clearly what to vote for. The subtext also doesn't say what you should vote. You should register to vote.
Imagine someone walking up to you, saying: "Life's better in the EU. But it's [pause] at risk. [pause] Register to vote by 7th [pause] June at (URL). WRONG WRONG WRONG

Let's stay in the EU [pause]
Register to vote by 7th June [pause]
gov.uk/register-to-vote

An article describing the 'brilliant' ads ended with this jab:
Quote
The official opposition campaign group, Vote Leave, is using a logo, which is understood to have been designed in-house and features a red ballot box graphic.
At the time of publication, a representative from Vote Leave’s design team was unable to comment further on the design of its logo or campaign.
which along with "Take back control" was simply brilliantly executed. The logo told people in a way everyone understands what to do in the simplest form. "VOTE LEAVE" at the ballot box.

It reminds me of a comment from one of my favorite designers, Chris Do.
"We designers often try to be smart but it is already difficult enough to make a good design"

That will be quite a lot of reshuffling. Though I'm sure it will make fuck all difference.
