Dude, Kev. My gamertag is Muladhadra. Unfortunately, here at home I don't have a way to hook up my 360 to the net. Add me and I'll be on Sunday!

This game is already better than Jade Empire. Reason: Character customization.

Holy shit this game's presentation is amazing. The new conversation isn't that vastly different, but holy crap is this a step up for cutscenes in rpgs. It's so natural.

It's just shooting.

Crap, there're too many good games.  I can't decide if I should play ME, AC or Mr Gay.  Then, there''re games like Crysis, Uncharted, Unreal Tournament 3, which I  want to check out just for the graphics.

I wish Bioware would go back to being PC only.  The combat in their newer games suck because it's been dumbed down for console gamers.

As a person who has played tons of Bioware games from PC to console, and the offshoots from black isle, the Good Evil Neutral dialogue trees burdened by a lot of fluff and color are just so damn skippable now. I dont WANT to spend 5 minutes asking about a quest just so the barkeep can make tongue in cheek comments about where he puts his hamsters.

i wanna play mass effect because of the amount of detail they put into creating the universe.  the rpg elements are a plus.  oh, and apparently the soundtrack is on some 70s sci-fi shit.  :bow

The most interesting thing in this game so far is the retro-synth soundtrack. Maybe I'll pick this up eventually but nice to hear some good impressions at least of the combat.

My character is a black female lesbian Engineer named Sera Shepard, and she kicks all ass.

After Assassin's Creed it's pretty hard to get into these sparse, densely populated locales. Oh well. That's my only complaint thus far, aside from the really confusing menu interface.

Yeah it's like every time you load a new screen, it has to wait a few to load in the textures. It can be a bit distracting.

Right, I guess. I meant not so densely populated, sorry.

Is it just me or is there a lack of quests compared to the beginning of other Bioware games? I'm sure quests will pick up, but I've noticed there are less npcs you can talk to than before. Maybe it's because the environments are so much bigger, thus, the npcs are more spread out.

the game is RIDICULOUSLY easy on normal, I was really frustrated at the lack of challenge

and yeah Himuro, it seems like the towns aren't as packed as they were in even KOTOR

I suppose it's because assets all cost so much to create within next-gen standards, and that it also explains why the game is relatively short and lacking in content

I wouldn't say it's ridiculously easy yet. I've died a few times. If you go in with guns ablazing and don't use strategy (like using your party members as bait so you can run around the enemies and own them. any other way is overwhelming some times) you will get raped.

So far, this game basically fixes almost every problem I have with KotOR and Jade. I'm LOVING it. It's got a shooter battle system, but it's GOOD.

Lacking in content? I dunno since I'm early in, but so far, the first world has got an overwhelming amount of quests.

My biggest issue right now is that you can't talk to your party members directly like in past Bioware games. At least, not yet.
