Why would anyone get this game for the 360 if they have a PC that can run it in the first place? 1) Because some people have Macs and/or crappy Windows PCs which won't run the game as well as their 360 will.
2) Because their friends all have the 360 version, and they want to co-op with those guys

I just finished the first single-player campaign, which I thought going in was actually all that there was of the single player but there's really 4 more! The AI partners are kind of dumb at times and tend to lag behind, but it was still really fun and offers an awesome experience that doesn't really have a downside. Well, unless you're looking for a ton of gameplay variety.

Anyway, I need some people to play multi with now. My Steam account is GreatRumbler.

valve is offering a "four-pack" of left 4 dead for $150

which would equal out to $37.50 per copy, a savings of about $16 (valve does not charge tax)

three other people would send me $37.50 via paypal, and i would gift out the copies

you can install it on any pc with your steam account

you can only play as the zombies in multiplayer, can't do single player against bots

Are you playing on Hard or Expert? The 1UP Show podcast said that the AI is less effective on harder difficulties.

and runs amazing on good rigs. My computer isn't amazing that I can run Crysis at max and all that, but being able to have everything at the complete limit for a Source game is still great for me.

I really have to start playing. I feel like I'm holding off because I know I'd ignore all my other games because of it. I'll probably on the weekend so I can play nonstop.

I first played HL2 on my PC uh...2 PCs ago, so it was the PC I bought to play Morrowind. It ran pretty poor. I remember my friend who as an ATi bitch would tlak about how good it looked on his computer and my only defense was that Doom 3 ran great on mine. Nvidia

I played the retail version for the first time tonight with 3 friends...omg, was so good.

The demo really didn't grab me. It was solid but did not impress enough to purchase. The main game is soooooooo much better after those first two stages. I think those stages were generally too easy, the stages after that are pretty tough on advanced and the fun of the game is retrying sections over and over until you finally pass them while it's fresh everytime because of the randomization.

Also voice chat is a must on the PC version. I'd never used voice chat in a pc game before so everyone else was talking and I was typing and yeah, I needed a mic. Will set that up tomorrow for the next time I play.

I have seen the light! Fantastic game. Finished the first campaign and made it to stage 4 of the 2nd campaign.

I've still only played the first two campaigns (more than once!) and damn this game is great

Not so great with bots maybe, but with friends

The difficulties seem harder than in the demo... normal seems about equivalent to advanced in the demo.
I enjoy all of the tier 2 weapons in their own way. I was playing with the rifle some last night and it's surprisingly rad. Tier 1 shotgun is a bit too slow on the reload for me to want to use it.

Yeah, I'm surprised at how well this runs. I have a 7600GT and I'm getting 60fps all the time although I just used the default settings so things aren't maxed in gfx. Don't really care as 60fps >>>>> everything else in a game like this.

just use the voice setting in steam to set it up, make sure it is set as your primary recording device in windows
