I was going to say, there's only like three boss battles in the first one.
Only played the first two, but God of War II is my favorite. Just because it's so over the top. And doesn't have Hades' spinning blades. I think I plowed through both games in just a few sittings. My one roommate watched me play II all the way through, I bought it on release (actually only one of two times I've ever been carded for a game after paying $2 for The Getaway, which yes, I regret) and I think it was finished by Thursday or Friday of that week. (I'm a 2-3 hour player per day or so at most generally. Not hardcore like you guys. Something like Batman:AA, I did over like a week and a half.) He even called me one night because he was running late and wanted to see the rest.

Last few weeks have been expected to be busier than normal but because of that I've wound up with more time to do some gaming. So I'll ramble even though nobody cares.
Civ V. Steam sale.
Finally got a friend to start playing
Sanctum. They're hyping the coming update in-game now, excited for that. Had done co-op prior with a high school guy I have on my Steam list that I saw bought it (and had to remind him who I was

), also played with some Aussies one night, lag actually wasn't too bad with them. But always good to play with somebody you know better.
Star Trek: Elite Force II. Randomly decided to replay the first game this summer with the fancy explore the ship expansion, figured I should finally play the second. Gotta love the Quake 3 engine, bring up the console, type a couple commands, and bam can get it working on 16:9 with proper FOV. HUD isn't perfect of course, but we can live with that. Gameplay not mindblowing of course, but is still in that older style of FPS that had shooting plus plenty of puzzles and some platforming. Not to mention the whole geek-out factor from being able to run around the "actual" ships.
Everyday Genius: Square Logic. Often play a few boards of this a week. Mostly waiting for things like water to boil or something to cook. Good time waster.
Tried the
Space Marine and
Hard Reset demos. Space Marine was sorta meh in the first offering, the melee from that Gears style perspective took a few minutes to figure out plus the level wasn't all that great, but the jetpack one was silly fun. Commented on Hard Reset in fistfuls thread.
Some minor soloing in
Guild Wars with the new character I created this spring. Played some Wii while defragging, I initially forgot you could use the nunchuck with
Mario Kart Wii which I hadn't played in like a year. You can laugh at my initial steering frustrations. Tried to kill some time in NSMBW and died like ten times on some random level in world two.

At least the masterpiece that is
Order Up! was there to sooth my wounds from Nintendo's vicious assault on me.
Didn't know there was a Kirby game on NES until last night. Playing that. It's really, REALLY fun. The NES continues to be my favorite system.
The one GBA game is a remake of it I think.
