You slog through the horribly cliche last segment with the boss sitting behind an invulnerability shield, giving you a cookie cutter "join me" speech and throwing the occasional wave of goons at you that you only have fought, oh, roughly a trillion times by now. Then finally he decides it's time to squish you.... And blammo, only QTEs, and not just once, no, there's an all you can mash buffet of QTEs. Letdown central. I wanted to slice-n-dice that sucker, not watch my silly guy in blue armour lovingly embrace his gay lover over and over again.
The ending after the 'fight' is quite unsatisfying, too. Minimalistic presentation aside, it's Relics patented "leave
everything open for 900 sequels" tactic again.
Fluff-wise it's
terribly light on content, too, but then again... gotta keep my expectations realistic, right. It's a hack-n-slay game.
Joke's on them though, I really don't care about the characters enough to justify a full-price purchase of a sequel/expansion. Ha!
